Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à une procédure d'identification de terminaux de téléphonie mobile. Conformément à cette invention, le fabricant d'un terminal mobile place une PROM (mémoire non effaçable) dans chaque unité et la programme avec un code d'identification. Ce code peut ensuite être transmis à l'opérateur conjointement au numéro SIM. Dans le cas de vol ou de perte de l'unité, le propriétaire peut aviser l'opérateur qui est capable de déterminer qui est le nouvel utilisateur, ce qui augmente les chances de pistage et de récupération de l'unité volée.
