Abstract

L'invention concerne une direction pour véhicules routiers et permet d'assurer une différence requise entre les angles α et β des roues directionnelles, et ce indépendamment du type de mécanisme de direction utilisé. L'objet de l'invention peut s'utiliser dans un mécanisme de direction ou indépendamment; il est installé entre le mécanisme de direction et l'entraînement des roues. Lorsque l'utilisateur tourne le volant (4) dans n'importe quelle direction, ce volant fait pivoter un pignon (1) du mécanisme de direction au moyen d'un arbre (3) et déplace dans un plan horizontal une crémaillère (2); cette dernière assure la rotation des pignons (5 et 6) avec des vitesses différentes, la différence des vitesses de rotation étant due à l'excentricité (la forme ellipsoïde) ou la normalité desdits pignons. Les biellettes du mécanisme de direction (9 et 10) sont entraînées à des vitesses différentes par les pignons (5 et 6); leur mouvement est transmis aux arbres (7 et 8) puis, avec des angles d'inclinaison différents, aux joints sphériques (11 et 12), aux tiges (13 et 14), aux leviers rotatifs (15 et 16) et, enfin, aux roues orientables gauche et droite. L'invention permet d'augmenter la stabilité, la manoeuvrabilité et l'aptitude routière des véhicules ainsi que les caractéristiques de fonctionnement des pneus.
