  • a harrow for a tractor comprising a frame 20 having one end connected to the top part of a rotavator 2 mounted detachably in the rear of a tractor 1, said frame being controlled in its elevation by a hydraulic cylinder 10, a central blade section30 connected to the underside of the frame 20 and left and right side blades 50 and 60 positioned on opposite sides of the central section 30, wherein the central blade section 30 is provided with a plurality of harrow pieces 37a and 37b having different extensions in the longitudinal direction of the tractor and the left and right side blades 50 and 60 are formed with a plurality of inclined harrow pieces 57 and 67 inclined inwardly toward bottom ends to gather soil to the inside.

  • the long harrow pieces 37b are formed with top surfaces slanting downward in rear direction to touch the earth only with their end edges in order to secure ample spaces on the surfaces for collecting soil. Particularly, as the harrow proceeds forward, the soil at higher locations gets leveled by harrow pieces, wherein predominantly the long harrow pieces 37b collect enough soil, with the collected soil falling down simultaneously to fill the depressed parts of the land, resulting in the leveled land. This leveling work produces no ridges mainly due to the soil slipping down between the neighboring harrow pieces 37a and 37b of the central blade section 30.
  • the left and right side blade sections 50 and 60 are formed with a number of slant harrow pieces 57 and 67 which are inclined inwardly up to their lower ends, so that the soil excavated may get driven inwardly as the tractor 1 moves forward.
  • soil and water are flow off between adjacent harrow pieces 57 and 67 while they are pressed inwardly with the advance of the tractor, whereby the lowered area caused by the passage of the tractor 1 can be effectively leveled.
  • Such a harrow for a tractor includes a fixing shaft 2a on a rotavator 2 mounted behind the tractor, which shaft is formed on its top side with brackets 2b and 2c, with the ends of a frame 20 substantially in the form of U fitted in the brackets 2b and 2c and secured there by means of pins.
  • brackets 11 and 23 At a middle position in the top of rotavator 2 and at a central position on the top of the frame 20 there are formed brackets 11 and 23 in which a hydraulic cylinder 10 are mounted with its opposite ends so that the harrow may swing vertically.
  • the hydraulic cylinder 10 is connected to the brackets 11 provided on a fixing shaft of the rotavator 2 by means of a pin 14 through a long vertical slot 11a on the brackets, wherein all the harrow plates 30, 50 and 60 are possible to work at an unvaried elevation due to the pin 14 movable in the long slot 11a even when the tractor 1 makes a vertical swinging motion through the hydraulic cylinder 10.
  • the hydraulic cylinder 10 can be operated by an operator in the driver's cabin by means of a valve switch (not shown), as the hydraulic cylinder is connected to the valve switch through a quick coupling 3 which is positioned at the end of the hydraulic hose 10a leading to the hydraulic cylinder 10.
  • a tension spring 12 is connected to both a spring ring 10b formed at an end of the hydraulic cylinder 10 and a bolt 13 mounted at the lower end of the brackets 11 to pull the hydraulic cylinder 10 downward, the force applied on the harrow plates 30, 50 and 60 mounted on the frame 20 for pressing the ground can be adjusted by screwing the bolt 13 up or down to control the tension of the spring 12.
  • brackets 31 and 32 attached on the top surface of the central blade section 30 and the brackets 21 and 22 attached on the lower side of the frame 20 are joined together by a central pin 24, the harrow plates 30, 50 and 60 can be pivoted up and down to the left and right side of the frame 20.
  • the brackets 31 and 32 provided on the central blade section 30 are positioned in front of the brackets 21 and 22 provided on the frame 20 and the central pin 24 is connected with a safety pin 25to secure the harrow plates 30, 50 and 60.
  • This safety pin 25 also serves to protect the central blade section 30 against a possible damage by breaking down when the tractor 1 inadvertently contacts an obstacle with its central blade section 30 as it moves backward.
  • the frame 20 and the central blade section 30 are prevented from tilting to either one side thanks to springs 34 mounted on both sides of the frame and central blade and intended to elastically support them, even when the harrow plates 30, 50 and 60 are lifted away from the ground surface, as can be seen in Figure 4.
  • Pipes 51 and 61 attached at respective one ends of the left and right side blade sections 50 and 60 are fitted rotatably on shafts 35 formed on opposite ends of the central blade section 30, which shafts are inclined outwardly at an angle of about 20. Therefore, when the left and right side blade sections 50 and 60 have been turned 90 up to the stoppers 33 fixed on the central blade section 30, the longitudinal stretches of the side blades 50 and 60 will rise to the level of the central blade section 30 over the angle of 20. Thus, when the inclination of the central blade section 30 becomes low enough, e.g. below 20 relative to the horizontal, with the fall of the frame 20, the left and right side blade sectionsSO and 60 will spread open as the result of their own weight rotary moment, which will be understood better later.
  • the left and right side blades 50 and 60 are provided on their back faces near the central blade section 30 with safety plates 53 and 63, fixed by bolts 54 and 64, to prevent the blades 50 and 60 from swinging rearward above the level of the horizontal by abutting on the central section 30 and to protect the side blades 50 and 60 against a possible damage in the case an obstacle is encountered as the tractor moves backward.
  • arms 52 and 62 formed on the above-described pipes 51 and 61 are connected to a bolt 10c fixed on the hydraulic cylinder 10 by a link 70 which comprises pipes 70b enclosing a part of rods 70b through springs 70a, with pins 70c inserted on the rods 70b supporting the springs 70a, to make the link 70 expansible.
  • the link 70 helps the side blades to open at a constant speed through supporting the arms 52 and 62 with the help of the springs 70a.
  • the link 70 exerts a finite resistance due to the springs 70a during the contraction of the hydraulic cylinder than during its expansion.
  • the harrows 30, 50 and 60 are formed in a form of arch so that the central point of the central blade section30 is about 50 mm higher than the outer ends of the side blades 50 and 60.
  • the soil pushed outward with passage of a tractor 1 and rotavator 2 can be collected again in the center by the arch-formed harrow plates 30, 50 and 60 mentioned above to result in balance in respect of surface level.
  • the harrows for a tractor are mostly assembled with the brackets integrally formed on the top of a rotavator 2, as seen in Figures 3 and 4.
  • the rotavator 2 is raised, the harrow plates 30, 50 and 60 are lifted as high as possible by fully contracting the hydraulic cylinder 10 and then the side blades 50 and 60 are caused to tilt by the own weight and then folded.
  • the roravator 2 is lowered to conduct cultivating work on, say, a rice-paddy and then leveling work on the rice-paddy is started with the side blades 50 and 60 unfolded and with the central section 30 lowered as well.
  • the soil dug up by the inclined harrow pieces 57 and 67 of opposite side blades 50 and 60 tends to collect in the central area so as to fill the lowered earth formed by the passage of the tractor, as indicated above in connection with Figure 2.
  • the harrows described above comprise a number of harrow pieces 37a, 37b, 57 and 67 alternatively protruding and distributed at regular intervals in such a manner as to allow the water portion to flow off between the harrow pieces during the leveling work for a rice-paddy.
  • the soil in higher elevation is effectively guided to lower elevation and the entrained water is drained between harrow pieces without being built up, with the result that the leveling work of a rice-paddy is effectively conducted.
  • the mobility and workability are improved particularly because of the provision the link 70 capable of readily folding or unfolding side blades 50 and 60 and safety against damage is enhanced due to a safety pin 25 and safety plates 53.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne une herse de tracteur. La herse de tracteur selon l'invention comprend un cadre (20) dont une extrémité est reliée à la partie supérieure d'un élévateur pivotant (2) monté libérable à l'arrière d'un tracteur (1). Le levage du cadre est commandé par un cylindre (10) hydraulique, une section (30) de pale centrale reliée au côté inférieur du cadre (20) et des pales latérales (50 et 60) gauche et droite disposées sur des côtés opposés de la section (30) centrale. La section (30) de pale centrale comporte plusieurs pièces (37a et 37b) de herse présentant des prolongements différents dans la direction longitudinale du tracteur et les pales latérales (50 et 60) gauche et droite comportent plusieurs pièces (57 et 67) de herse inclinées vers l'intérieur en direction des extrémités inférieures pour ramener la terre à l'intérieur.
