Abstract

Cette invention concerne une caméra vidéo qui comprend une unité de compression de signaux audio et vidéo selon les techniques MPEG-2, un contrôleur de commande, un décodeur de signaux audio et vidéo qui va effectuer une décompression selon les techniques MPEG-2, un contrôleur de connexion d'une mémoire amovible de sauvegarde des données, un contrôleur d'interfaces qui est relié par un bus commun à une unité de traitement et au contrôleur de commande, un dispositif de mémorisation programmable et une unité de contrôle vidéo qui se présente sous forme d'un moniteur monté rotatif sur le corps de la caméra. L'unité de conversion du signal vidéo analogique en numérique est réalisée sur des matrices de type dispositifs à transfert de charge et à haute résolution de manière à convertir le signal en un flux de données numériques selon les protocoles SDTV, HDTV et DV. L'unité de compression du signal vidéo numérique, qui provient de l'unité de conversion du signal vidéo analogique en numérique, se présente sous forme d'un codeur qui comprime les données numériques selon les techniques MPEG-2. Cette caméra vidéo est en outre équipée d'une unité de conversion des signaux audio et vidéo numériques en signaux qui peuvent être utilisés par une interface satellite.
