Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et une composition pour l'oxydation de substrats aromatiques en présence d'oxygène, d'un catalyseur, d'une source de protons et d'un réducteur non gazeux. Selon un mode de réalisation préféré de l'invention, on oxyde du benzène en phénol en présence d'oxygène, de vanadyle comme catalyseur, d'acide trifluoroacétique comme source de protons et de ferrocene comme réducteur. Le procédé selon l'invention est économique, sûr et peut faire l'objet d'une mise à l'échelle commerciale.
