- This static device is composed of a battery of short-wave ultraviolet lamps, whose purpose is to disinfect the flow of air entering the duct. It is envisaged that said lamps are connected to the corresponding ventilation or cooling equipment, staying on while said equipment is in operation. In this way, it is ensured that the incoming air does not contain microorganisms and does not involve a continuous supply of bacteria, fungi or other simple life forms inside the duct. Taking into account that these microorganisms can access the inside of the duct through the ventilation outlets when there is no forced air circulation inside, this system is complemented by a mobile device, intended to be introduced inside the duct periodically and be displaced inside, getting the disinfection of the entire duct.
- this mobile device will be composed of a central axis, around which a series of short-wave ultraviolet lamps are mounted, and by two end disks provided on its periphery with wheels forming the support means of the device on the inner surface of the duct.
- the lamps are arranged parallel to each other and also to the central axis, emitting ultraviolet radiation that affects an area of 360 ° wide around the axis.
- This mobile device is provided with the corresponding hose for the power supply of the lamps and two resistant cables that are fixed to the opposite ends of the device.
- One of these cables will be used to pull the mobile device, causing its displacement inside the conduit, while the another cable will be used as a retainer, to prevent the device from suffering sudden accelerations when it runs through the inclined sections or through the vertical sections of the conduit.
- Obtaining a total disinfection of the conduit by means of the mobile device requires the prior observation of a series of characteristics related to the conduit, such as: type of material that forms it, index of reflectance, section, surface roughness, etc ,.
- the radiation to be applied in case can be achieved by varying the advancement speed of the mobile device and keeping the power of the lamps constant or by varying the power of the lamps and keeping the advancement speed of the device constant.
- At least one of the cables attached to the mobile device is graduated.

- the static device (1) comprises a support (11) provided with a series of lampholders for the assembly of a battery of lamps (12) emitting short-wave ultraviolet rays.
- This device (1) will be permanently fixed inside the duct (2), in an area close to the air inlet coming from the equipment (21), and electrically connected to the equipment itself (21) so that the lamps (12) they will remain on while said equipment (21) is in operation; with this it is achieved that the incoming air flow through the irradiated area, eliminating the microorganisms contained therein.
- the mobile device comprises an axis (31) that ends in two end disks (32 and 33).
- the shaft (31) has lampholders on which ultraviolet lamps (34) are mounted that are arranged around the axis (31) and parallel thereto.
- This device (3) also includes a hose (37) for the power supply of the lamps (34) and two resistant cables (38 and 39) fixed on the front and rear ends of the shaft (31).
- the device (3) is pulled manually or mechanically to cause its advance through the inside of the conduit (2) and by means of the cable (39) a certain retention is carried out ensuring that the device (3) is move in the correct position of parallelism of device-duct axes and at a substantially constant speed, even in the inclined or vertical sections of the duct (2).
- the displacement of the device (3) ensures that the entire interior surface of the duct (2) is subjected to ultraviolet radiation of sufficient intensity and duration to achieve A total microbiological disinfection.
