Abstract

Cette invention consiste essentiellement à remplir d'un matériau de solidification (15) les cavités vides (7, 9) de locaux qui ont été évacués, de manière générale, à la suite d'un incident survenu au cours de l'exploitation d'un objet donné. Le cas échéant, on peut également ajouter à ce matériau des ingrédients spécifiques consistant en des absorbeurs de neutrons, ainsi que des superplastifiants. Le remplissage se fait par couches en partant du bas vers le haut et de la périphérie vers le centre de la structure, après quoi on laisse reposer la couche ainsi déposée de manière à former un bloc monolithique unique. La hauteur du bloc monolithique ainsi formé dépend de la quantité et de la répartition du combustible nucléaire, du temps de repos du bloc jusqu'à la fin du remplissage, de l'état des structures de construction et de la nature du matériau de remplissage. La hauteur du bloc est en outre déterminée pour chaque cas pratique. Ainsi, en utilisant des matériaux spécialement sélectionnés et mis en forme, on obtient une structure de protection fiable contre les substances radioactives et les substances nucléaires nocives, ceci tout en utilisant des équipements et des matériaux industriels déjà disponibles sur le marché.
