  • a laid-yarn fabric manufactured in accordance with the embodiment of Fig. 3 although requiring a larger number of stitch-forming machines (knitting machines) , offers the advantage of exhibiting increased flexibility.
  • Both reinforcement threads 2 of each pair of threads may consist of the same or of different materials, for example a polymer material, metal or glass fibres.
  • Fig. 4 shows the structure of a laid-yarn fabric in accordance with a third embodiment of the invention. In accordance with this embodiment it is the reinforcement threads 2 that run in a zigzag pattern to interlace the wales 3 that are disposed in parallel relationship. In the tube-like means 1, this structure imparts reinforcement lengthwise as well as crosswise while at the same time some movability is possible also lengthwise as a result of elongation of the wales 3.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un non tissé de fils par liant servant de matériau de renforcement dans la production de composites à fibres. Ce non tissé comprend un système de fils de connexion et, insérés dans ce système, des fils de renforcement (2). Le non tissé de fils par liant forme un élément tubulaire (1) transversalement élastique qui est conçu pour être enfilé sur une âme pour former ou être inclus dans ledit composite à fibres. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production de préformes lors de la production de composites à fibres à l'aide d'un tel non tissé de fils par liant tubulaire transversalement élastique. Ce non tissé de fils par liant est appliqué sur une âme, l'élément tubulaire (1) étant enfilé sur cette âme de telle façon qu'il épouse étroitement l'âme en raison de son élasticité transversale. Le non tissé de fils par liant est ensuite injecté de plastiques thermodurcissables ou bien il est chauffé s'il est réalisé avec des fils hybrides thermodurcissables.
