Abstract

The invention concerns a device for tying up the hair in tufts, strands, bunches, braids, pony tail and the like easily and without damaging it. It consists of a part (1) with a bearing surface (4) receiving the hair (3) and at least two elements for catching (5) a sheathed elastic link (2) initially independent of the part and capable of being caught thereon. The link ensures the tying back and tightening of the hair pulled against the part when the user stretches it from one catching element to the other, maintaining the hair between the part surface and the flexible maintaining line produced by the elastic link. When the part comprises a single catching element, said element is located on a surface opposite that of the bearing surface for the hair, the elastic link is then caught in a loop once and a second time on said element. The device can tie all types of bunches, bouquets, sheaves, scarves and is particularly designed for styling long and middle-length hair.
