The turning over by the metering valve ensures that the possibility of obstruction in the metering housing is diminished, even if the feed has been waiting in the metering housing for some hours, and has to some extent become compacted.

Abstract
On décrit un distributeur d'aliments (1) servant à approvisionner un nourrisseur à partir d'un convoyeur alimenteur intégré à une installation d'alimentation centrale. Les aliments sont dosés dans un compartiment de dosage (29) muni d'un orifice de sortie (33) pouvant être ouvert ou fermé par un moteur au moyen d'une valve doseuse (37). Selon l'invention, des moyens d'entraînement (49, 51) sont utilisés pour induire le mouvement de la valve doseuse (37) de la position fermée à la position ouverte et inversement, obligatoirement et indépendamment de la gravité. En cas d'obstruction de la valve doseuse (37), un accouplement à glissement entre en jeu pour assurer une protection.
