Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif de transmission permettant de transmettre, par exemple par radio, des paquets de bits successifs de signal vocal. Le dispositif comprend des moyens de codage différentiel (11) pour coder de manière différentielle lesdits paquets de bits de signal vocal. Le dispositif est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend des moyens (12) destinés à générer un code de détection d'erreur (R) pour chaque paquet de bits de signal vocal codé de manière différentielle, afin de détecter dans un dispositif récepteur à distance des erreurs lors de la transmission desdits paquets de signal vocal codés de manière différentielle. Ce code de détection d'erreur prend uniquement en charge les bits le plus significatifs dudit paquet codé de manière différentielle.
