Abstract

Ein Gerät zur Orientierungshilfe für Blinde und Sehbehinderte enthält mindestens ein berührungsloses Entfernungsmeßsystem (1, 2), welches eine von der Entfernung zwischen dem Gerät und einem von dem Entfernungsmeßsystem (1, 2) erfaßten Gegenstand abhängige Stellgröße erzeugt. Weiterhin ist mindestens eine Anzeigevorrichtung vorgesehen, welche von der Stellgröße des Entfernungsmeßsystems (1, 2) beaufschlagt wird und welche eine von der Stellgröße abhängige Anzeige liefert. Die Anzeigevorrichtung weist mindestens eine Fühlanzeige (3) auf, welche sich längs einer Abtaststrecke als monotone Funktion der durch das Entfernungsmeßsystem (1, 2) gemessenen Entfernung stetig oder quasi-stetig verlagert. Die Fühlanzeige kann beispielsweise ein verstellbares Element (3) aufweisen. Der Benutzer fühlt somit die gemessene Entfernung durch Abtasten der Lage des verstellbaren Elements (3).
