Definitions
- Document DE 29518865 discloses an insulating panel for floors which has one or more non-through slots parallel to one of its edges and situated at a distance from the latter equal to the thickness of the panel. Such an element is used as insulation under a floor, the edge being detached and turned 90 ° so that the fiber structure constituting the panel is arranged vertically. This makes it possible to reinforce, along certain passages such as thresholds, etc., the compressive strength of the insulating panel to prevent it from sagging when walking on the floor.
- Document DE 4435317 discloses an insulation panel formed by the juxtaposition of glued insulating bars, cutting lines being formed along one of the edges of the element.
- a sheet of paper is glued to the panel and has lines indicating the positioning of the joints of the bars and the cutting lines so that it is easy to cut out certain parts of the panel to adapt it to the surface to be covered.
- the present invention relates to mainly thermal but also sound insulation means and in particular to insulation elements or panels in front of place itself between the constituent elements of a roof, a floor or a partition. More particularly, the invention aims to remedy certain problems encountered in the insulation between rafters or between beams of a construction. Insulation products, whether manufactured in panels or rolls, must have a corresponding width, per cm. close, at the distance between beams, rafters or posts, between which they must be arranged to then be generally covered with a layer of impermeable plastic.
- the current insulation materials manufactured in rolls or in panels, have a precise width.
- these elements have a small elasticity in the direction of their length because the layers of glass fibers or rock are superimposed with a certain undulation.
- these elements are particularly rigid transversely either along their width, the structure of the fibers not being wavy in this direction.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a process for installing or installing a mineral fiber panel which saves installation time and the use of less qualified labor for carrying out insulation between beams or rafters.
- Another object of the invention is the production of an insulation panel formed from a structure of glass or rock fibers arranged in horizontal layers which obviates the drawbacks of existing insulation panels or rolls and which in particular have elasticity. in the lateral direction to absorb the differences in dimensions between load-bearing elements, beams, rafters, posts, between which they must be arranged, while remaining flat and being held in place by the only friction forces between these beams and these panels of 'insulation.
- the method of installing insulation panels according to the invention and the panels for its implementation are distinguished by the characteristics set out in claims 1 and 3.
- Figure 1 illustrates in perspective an embodiment of the panel according to the invention.
- Figures 2 to 4 illustrate three modes of use of the panel of Figure 1 according to one spacing of the beams between which it must be arranged.
- Figure 5 illustrates what happens to a product currently available if its width is not adapted to the distance between beams.
- Figure 6 is a table indicating depending on the distance between beams in centimeters how to use the insulating panel according to the invention and the corresponding tensile force of the insulation element in Newtons (held between beams).
- Figure 7 illustrates a variant of the panel.
- the insulation panel 1 is produced in a conventional manner from glass wool or rock fibers.
- This element comprises a mattress or several superimposed layers of fiber, slightly wavy in the direction of the length of the panel 1, and glued.
- An efficient insulation element is obtained, rigid laterally, slightly compressible longitudinally due to the undulations of the fiber masts and very flexible depending on its thickness e.
- the panel 1 according to the invention comprises one or more longitudinal notches 3, parallel to the lateral edges of the panel and spaced from these edges by a value equal to the thickness e of said panel. These notches 3 do not completely cross the thickness e of the panel, so that the lateral portions of the panel remain integral with the latter at the end of the manufacturing process.
- the panel 1 When the distance D between two beams P, or other load-bearing element, between which the panel 1 must be installed is slightly less than that 1 of the panel is less than 0.5 to 1 cm, the panel 1 is placed without other between these beams P, it is slightly compressed transversely which causes the panel to bear against the beams sufficient to keep it in place for as long as it is covered with a plastic sheet, for example. This force is however not sufficient to deform the panel 1 out of its plane, which would be unacceptable.
- the distance D between the beams P is less than the width of the panel 1 from 1.5 to 10 cm, in the case of a panel 1 having a thickness e of between 120 and 150 mm or more, we proceed to an operation before the installation of the panel 1.
- This operation consists in detaching one of the borders B pre-cut the panel and rotate it 90 °.
- This border thus takes the position B1 and because of its flexibility in the initial direction of the thickness of the panel, which direction has now been oriented laterally, this border B1 can be easily compressed and the panel 1 can be placed between these beams despite the insufficient distance between beams. If the border B1 had not been turned 90 °, the panel would have been deformed as illustrated in Figure 5, which would be unacceptable.
- the two edges B are sectioned and turned over by 90 ° to place them in B1 both, which gives the 'Insulation element sufficient transverse elasticity to be introduced between these close beams.
- the insulation value of the edges B is not reduced due to their inversion at 90 ° since in these cases of use they are compressed, which increases their density and therefore their insulation coefficient.
- a single type of element 1 can in practice satisfy about 80% of the needs, it is no longer necessary to provide elements of different width during manufacture, which makes it more expensive and requires complicated storage, nor of provide a qualified workforce on site, the elements being pre-cut.
- this new insulation element with pre-cut edges it is possible to reduce the number of manufacturing widths of the elements, to get rid of a skilled workforce on site and to satisfy at least 80% of practical cases of installation of these elements.
- the panel comprises a single notch defining a border B parallel to one of the lateral edges of the panel.
- the panel comprises along one of its lateral edges a border B as described above and along the other lateral edge several, but at least two parallel notches separated by a distance less than half the thickness of the panel.
- the main and original feature of the present invention resides in the fact of providing an insulation panel with one or two easily compressible edges laterally to be able to adapt the width of the panel to the space between two support elements between which it must to be placed.
- all the parts of a panel and its edges have the same density which is a maximum of 30 kg / m 2 for fiberglass panels and a maximum of 60 kg / m 2 * for fiber panels Rock.
- the glass fiber panels have a density of 20 kg / m ⁇ while those of rock fiber have a density less than 40 kg / m ⁇ , or even less than 35 kg / m ⁇ .
- All these panels have a low density and good elasticity, in particular perpendicular to the layers of mineral fiber which constitute them. It is thanks to these properties that the installation between beams or between rafters can be easily done by compression of the edge of the panel turned 90 °.
