Abstract

Cette invention concerne un élément d'espacement isolant utilisé dans des systèmes de vitrage. Cet élément d'espacement se compose d'un corps isolant de type mousse ainsi que d'un second matériau d'étanchéité. Le corps isolant entre partiellement en contact avec les substrats, de même que le matériau d'étanchéité, ce qui permet d'obtenir un double joint d'étanchéité lors de leur emploi dans des systèmes de vitrage. Dans d'autre modes de réalisation, l'élément d'espacement consiste en un composite à base de mousse, d'un matériau d'étanchéité, de plastiques rigides et de matrices déshydratées. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, on fait appel à un élément d'espacement dont le corps ondulé et de type mousse permet de faciliter la manipulation autour des angles dans des systèmes de vitrage. L'incorporation de la mousse permet d'obtenir un élément d'espacement et un assemblage particulièrement efficaces en matière d'économie d'énergie.
