Abstract

A profiled ski having a non-rectangular cross-section and including, at least in the central ski portion supporting the bindings, a filler core (1), a shell (12) forming the upper surface, and a lower surface provided with longitudinal metal edges (10, 11) and a central ski base (8). The lower portion of the core (1) includes two longitudinal side extensions (3, 4), the edges (10, 11) at least partially engage the lower surface of said extensions (3, 4), and the upper shell (12) engages the upper surfaces of the two side shoulders and the upper surface of the central portion of the core (1). Forces exerted on the shell (12) are transmitted to the lower surface of the ski via the core (1) alone.
