Definitions
- the present invention relates to a pressure ulcer prevention mat developed specifically for reducing pressure on pressure ulcer-prone sites such as the sacrum.
- Conventional acne prevention mats attempt to reduce the pressure applied to a unit area of a pressure ulcer-prone area, such as the sacrum, by distributing weight evenly throughout the mat.
- Air mat is considered to be effective in preventing pressure ulcers to some extent, but (1) it has many irregularities due to its form, and the effective contact area with the body surface cannot be wide enough. 2
- air In order to inflate the mat, air must be filled with relatively high pressure.
- the pressure applied to the unit surfaces millet by Li surface because of the equal, unless lowering the 30 mmHg / crn 2 or less is ⁇ generating critical value was impossible. Therefore the frequent repositioning, In the sacral area, pressure ulcers were formed.
- the air cell had a restoring force, which caused tension on the skin of the dwarf, which further increased pressure ulcers. This resulted in promoting formation.
- the present invention has been devised to solve such disadvantages of the prior art. That 1 weight is evenly distributed throughout the mat, pressure applied to pressure ulcers predilection sites, etc. 2 sacral part, 30 mmHg / cin 2 ing below is always ⁇ generating critical value. 3 sacral such ⁇ good The tension on the skin at the starting point does not act much. 4Light and easy to handle. ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ Can be used without discomfort such as difficulty in sleeping. It is intended to develop Matsuto that meets these conditions.
- the main body is inflated with air, and the sub-support is filled with about 60% of the total volume of water, and the sub-support is inserted into the main body.
- the body is first supported only by the main body, and the sub-support that supports the sacral capital is lower than the main body, so the sacral part is in a state of being suspended in the air.
- the weight is applied to the main body, the main body plays, and the body sinks a little, and the sacrum is supported by the sub-support.
- most of the weight is applied to the main body, and the sub-support is not weighed too much, and even if the sub-support is weighted, there is considerable room for fertilization and the water inside moves.

- the main body (1) which has a sacral bocket (3) and a greater trochanter pocket (4) at the center and on both sides, and a secondary support (2) that fits into those pockets
- the position of the central sacral pocket (3) made of urethane etc. is the position where the sacrum hits when in the supine position
- the position of the left and right trochanteric pockets (4) is the lateral position from that state When it comes to the position, Iku Otoriko is left and right.
- the thickness of the sub-support (2) should be several centimeters thinner than the main body (1), and the sub-support (2) should be lower than the height of the main body (1) in use.
- the secondary support (2) should be at least 20 X 20 cm, large enough to support the sacrum, the greater trochanter and the iliac area.
- the air taps on the body (1) and the water taps on the secondary support (2) shall be installed at appropriate positions on each side.
- the main body (1) is inflated with air, and the sub-support (2) is capable of entering water.
- the water is about 60% of the total volume (about If) so that there is room for the volume.
- the sub support (2) is made translucent so that the inside can be seen. In order to exchange the water when the water inside is mixed, the sub support (2) is the main body. Fit into each position of (1).
- the present invention uses water for the sub-support (2) and air for the main body (1), but since the main body (1) and the sub-support (2) are independent, they are not affected by each other's pressure,
- the sacrum and the greater trochanter act as water mats for the iliac bones and act as air mats for the other areas, and have the following effects:
- the sub-support (2) is completely independent of the main body (1), and is lower than the main body (1), so that the body is supported only by the main body at the moment of sleeping, and the sacrum is in the air.
- the body (1) is lysed by the body weight and the body sinks a little, and the sacrum is supported by the secondary support (2).
- the secondary support (2) is not weighed over, and the secondary support (2) is also weighted.
- the pressure inside the secondary support (2) does not rise due to the movement of water around.
- the sacrum supported by the sub-support (2) of the bocket (3) is less susceptible to pressure than other parts supported by the body (1). showed, pressure on the sacrum and trochanter portion-iliac section in this onset Ming, can that keep 30 mmHg / cm 2 or less is always pressure ulcer occurrence threshold it was not possible in Eamatsuto is there.
- the greater trochanter / bone which is another acne-prone position, just rides on the sub-support (2) of the greater trochanteric pocket (4). In this case, the same effect as that of the sacral city can be obtained.
- the sub-support (2) does not receive much weight as a result, the restoring force of the sub-support (2) does not occur, so that almost no tension is generated in the sacrum and the greater trochanter.
- the greatest feature of the present invention is that the pressure applied to a specific part, which was impossible with conventional products, can be freely adjusted.
- the pressure applied to the sacrum and the greater trochanter can be adjusted according to each individual's physique, since the amount of water in the sacrum can be set steplessly.
- Water is used for the secondary support. However, since it is only part of the mat, which is about 3 in total, it is considerably lighter than a water mat, and the wave phenomenon is not a problem.
- the main body (10, 15, 17) and the auxiliary support (2, 20, 25, 27) are independent, it is possible to use different cushioning materials, that is, the main body ( Add water or gel to (1, 10, 15, 17), make a cushion using sponge-like substance, bead-like substance K, chemical fiber, or spring, etc.
- the body (2, 20, 25, 27) can be prepared in various ways according to the use, such as the water-filled mat of the present invention or vice versa.
- the relationship between the main body and the sub-support is also applied to pressure ulcer-prone sites other than the sacrum and the greater trochanter, and to other sites requiring particularly decompression.
- subjects were divided into groups according to body weight, and the pressure per unit area applied to the sacrum was measured by 30 persons in each group, and the average values were compared.
- the pressure gauge used was a body pressure gauge (Model SD 500 Digital Skin Pressure Evaluator) manufactured by TALLEY Group Ltd., (ENGLAND).
- the average pressure per unit area applied to the sacral portion of the present invention was a value that was significantly lower than the acne development critical value of 30 mmHg / cm 2 .
- the average pressure per unit area applied to the sacrum of the air mat is always higher than the critical value for pressure ulcer occurrence, and is about three times the average value of the present invention. A significant difference was found in the decompression capacity compared to the conventional air pressure fixed air mat.
- the present invention can be used in the field of treatment and hygiene as a pressure ulcer prevention mat for a hospital, a geriatric health facility, or home care.
