Abstract

L'invention concerne une plaquette (20, 40), notamment une plaquette de forme de base rectangulaire, insérable dans une fraise (35) à un angle de coupe orthogonal négatif (ηf) dans le sens radial et positif (ηp ou ηpal) dans le sens axial. Les tranchants de la plaquette qui s'étendent entre des coins de coupe (21 à 24) adjacents, présentent une section de coupe principale (25), une section de planage (27) et une zone de transition (26) située entre les deux précédentes.
