Description

Titel: Mit einem Rucksack kombinierte Schutzjacke Title: Protective jacket combined with a backpack
The invention relates to a protective jacket combined with a backpack, which is firmly connected to the backpack at at least one point.
Such jackets are characterized as / 3 always carries the carrier of the backpack, the protective jacket, even if he does not, for example, has, wrapped in preparation for a hiking or mountain or cycling in the backpack consciousness.
A backpack with an integrated rain jacket is known from the generic document EP-A-0 228 767. The rain jacket is housed in a tubular pocket that connects the front and back of the backpack. The tubular bag is sewn along the edges of the front and back of the backpack and uses these front and back sides to open up the storage space of the backpack. In addition, the bag has a circumferential zipper that allows access to the rain jacket. The rain jacket is sewn onto the circumference of the back of the backpack so that the back of the backpack is part of the back of the rain jacket. partly forms. If the zipper is opened, the rain jacket can be removed from the tubular pocket.
In this known combination of backpack and rain jacket, however, only the wearer is protected from external influences, such as rain and wind, by the rain jacket. Except for the back, which is in contact with the back of the carrier, the rest of the outside of the backpack are exposed to wind and weather.
Backpacks with integrated protective coverings, such as a poncho, are also known from the prior art (for example GB-C 1 604 548). However, these protective covers are not on the wearer's body and are open on the sides. Although they cover the backpack as well as the front and partially the arms of the backpack wearer, strong wind and / or rain are disruptive; for example, such protective coverings can be "blown" due to their wind / rain attack surfaces and the lack of attachment to the wearer's body as well as to the backpack. This leads to areas on the carrier as well as on the backpack that are not covered by the protective cover and which both wind and rain water can hit in an annoying manner. Protective coverings of this type are therefore unsuitable, for example on bike or ski tours, since in addition to the mostly gusty air conditions, there is also the air flow caused by the vehicle's own movement, such as when cycling.
The aim of the invention is to create a backpack with an integrated jacket, which largely eliminates the disadvantages mentioned above.
The invention achieves this aim in a protective jacket of the generic type combined with a backpack in that the protective jacket in the tightened state both the Backpack carriers like jackets as well as the backpack itself.
By connecting the protective jacket to the backpack in such a way that the protective jacket surrounds the carrier and the backpack when the backpack carrier is attracted, both the carrier and the backpack are protected from external influences, such as precipitation or wind. Consequently, the backpack does not have to be made from any special material, such as Goretex or Sympatex, since the protective jacket can take over the conventional backpacks' own protective function. In addition, due to its specific shape, the protective jacket has a fixing effect on the "underneath" backpack when it is put on. The protective jacket lies on the one hand on the front body, on the shoulder parts and on the arms of the wearer and on the other hand on the front of the backpack.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, a connection point on the backpack with an associated connection point of the protective jacket is selected in such a way that the proportions of the protective jacket are retained for the wearer in the tightened state, regardless of the connection point (claim 2). In other words, if the connection point on the backpack is changed, then the connection point of the protective jacket must also be arranged or assigned to the connection point on the backpack in such a way that an adequate fit of the protective jacket on the wearer is achieved in the put-on state. If, for example, the backpack connection point is chosen in the middle of the front side of the backpack, the connection point on the inside of the protective jacket must also be arranged in the middle and the two connection points must be connected to one another. If, on the other hand, the connection point is located on a backpack side, the connection point on the inside of the apron jacket must also be shifted accordingly from the middle position. Here is too note that both the "short" jacket side and the "long" jacket side of the protective jacket covering the backpack are dimensioned such that the backpack wearer can easily slip into the corresponding jacket arms when putting them on . This special design, which is adapted to the connection point between the backpack and the protective jacket, makes it possible for the protective jacket to fit well on the wearer, regardless of the choice of the connection point. This is particularly noticeable for the wearer when it is affected by external environmental influences such as rain, wind and snow.
The common connection between the protective jacket and the backpack is preferably linear (claim 3), so that a mechanically resilient connection between the backpack and protective jacket, such as by gluing or sewing, can be achieved.
In a preferred development of the invention, the protective jacket can be folded into a closable pocket (claim 4). This ensures that the protective jacket can be folded up and packed away when not in use, without reducing the backpack storage space. At the same time, the protective jacket itself is protected from damage, since it only has a small contact surface when folded up.
Alternatively, the protective jacket can be folded in a separate pocket connected to the backpack (claim 5). This design also allows the protective jacket to be packed away or stored while using the backpack.
In addition, the latter two combinations of bag and protective jacket open up a "retrofitting" of a conventional backpack without a combined protective jacket. In order to reduce the manufacturing costs of the combination of backpack and protective jacket, the protective jacket can also be accommodated in a pocket integrated in the backpack (claim 6).
The bag is preferably arranged on one side of the backpack (claim 7). This arrangement of the protective jacket, also called jacket below, in a backpack side pocket makes it possible for the backpack wearer to open the side pocket in the shouldered state and to remove the jacket. This shortens the time from the decision to put on the jacket to when the jacket is worn, compared to the generic combination of backpack and rain jacket known from the prior art. In this known combination, the backpack wearer has to take the time-consuming removal of the backpack from the back, open the all-round zipper, remove the rain jacket from the pocket, shoulder the backpack again and finally slip into the jacket.
In addition, the arrangement of the pocket on the rucksack side when the side pocket is opened - in the shouldered state - considerably reduces the risk of contamination of the jackets by contact with the ground.
In a preferred development of the invention, the protective jacket consists of water-resistant, windproof and / or breathable material (claim 8). With this choice of material, the combination of protective jacket and backpack can be used for a wide variety of applications, such as cycling, mountain ski tours, etc.
Es zeigt:The protective jacket preferably has advertising surfaces (claim 9), so that the combination can also be used in the marketing area for advertising purposes. The invention is explained below using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawing. It shows:

The backpack 3 also has shoulder straps 11 and 13, which are attached to the back and not shown in FIG. 1 of the backpack 3 at the top and bottom. The front 15 of the backpack 3 is provided with an additional pocket 17. Although not shown in FIG. 1, a further side pocket can also be attached to the other, not shown, side surface of the backpack 3.
The zipper 9 of the side pocket 7 is arranged centrally in FIG. 1. Of course, the zipper 9 can also be provided on a side seam to the front 17 or back of the backpack 3. Alternatively, a zipper rotated by 90 degrees is also conceivable.
The insertion of the protective jacket 5 into the side pocket 7 has the advantage that the wearer of the backpack 3 with the protective jacket 5 does not have to remove the backpack 3 to open the side pocket 7 and to put on the protective jacket 5, but rather in the shoulder-shouldered state can perform. The main storage space of the backpack 3 is accessible via a zipper which is covered by a cover strip 19 in FIG. 1. The cover strip 19 prevents moisture from penetrating through the zipper into the main storage space of the backpack 3.
Instead of the zippers mentioned above, Velcro or snap fasteners can also be used.

Die Verbindungslinie 21 ist in Fig. 1 nicht sichtbar, da sie sich innerhalb der Seitentasche 7 befindet.FIG. 2 shows a rear view of the combination 1 according to the invention. The protective jacket 5 is shown in FIG. 2 in the tightened state. That a schematically recognizable carrier has shouldered the backpack 3 and both - carrier and backpack - are encased in protective jacket 5. Only the contours of the backpack 3 can be seen in FIG. 2. The protective jacket 5 is firmly connected to the backpack 3 along the connecting line 21, for example by gluing or sewing. The connecting line 21 is not visible in FIG. 1, since it is located inside the side pocket 7.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the connecting line 21 is arranged on the backpack side surface 6. But it can also be formed at another location on the backpack 3. However, it should be noted that the position of the protective jacket connecting line must also be changed analogously. The change in position of the backpack and protective jacket connecting line must be coordinated with one another in such a way that the fit of protective jacket 5 shown in FIG. 2, in particular in the area of shoulders 25 and arms 27, remains ensured on the wearer. That is, the left part 29 of the protective jacket shown in FIG. 2, starting from the connecting line 21, should be approximately 1/3 of the jacket width, and the right part 31 covering the backpack 31. If, for example, the connecting line on the backpack 3 is shifted in the middle of the front side to the pocket 17, the protective jacket connecting line must also be shifted approximately into the middle of the inside of the jacket. This fit is also important insofar as it causes the protective jacket 5 to rest against the carrier and the backpack 3 and thus also to secure the backpack 3 to the carrier back.
The protective jacket 5 also has a hood 23 according to FIG. 2 to protect the wearer's head. The protective jacket 5, although not shown, can also be equipped with drawstrings, for example on the sleeve ends and along the waistband and the hood 23. These drawstrings allow the protective jacket openings to fit snugly on the body and arms of the wearer and on the backpack 3 itself.
The protective jacket 5 is preferably made of a water-resistant, windproof and breathable material, so that it can meet the various requirement profiles, such as on ski, mountain, bike and hiking tours. In addition, the protective jacket 5 can be provided in different clothing sizes, depending on the figure of the wearer.
As an alternative to the integrated side pocket 7, the protective jacket 5 can also be accommodated in a “patch” pocket attached to an outer surface of the backpack, with the exception of the rear surface of the backpack. This type of pocket has the advantage that it can also be used in conjunction with the protective jacket as a retrofit kit for conventional backpacks. As a further, simple embodiment, the protective jacket can also be designed in such a way that it can be folded into a closable pocket.
Although only a simple backpack with shoulder straps 11 and 13 is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the combination 1 according to the invention can also be applied to backpacks with carrying inserts, such as frames. Since such products are often also used for marketing purposes, advertising spaces can be formed on the protective jacket.
