Diesen ist gemeinsam, dass ihre Aufbewahrung in oder an einer Oberbekleidung ein verhältnismäßig großes Volumen beansprucht, verbunden mit entsprechender Gewichtsbelastung, großem Materialaufwand bzw. Ressourcenverbrauch für ihre Herstellung, insbesondere bei ihrer Ausführung als Poncho. Ein Poncho führt außerdem zu einer nachteiligen Beeinflussung der für eine Oberbekleidung bedeutungsvollen Ästhetik und beim Fahrradfahren zu einem verhältnismäßig großen Luftwiderstand. Wenn aus thermischen Gründen bereits eine wetterfeste Oberbekleidung benutzt wird und somit nur die Beine einen zusätzlichen Wetterschutz benötigen, führt die durch einen Poncho resultierende zusätzliche thermische Isolation auch zu einer Verringerung des Komforts beim Fahrradfahren. Dies ist auch ein wesentlicher Nachteil von Regenhosen, wie sie z.B. durch die genannte DE20 2006 00 6 430 oder die CN2399943 bekannt sind, ebenso wie deren aufwändiges An- und Ablegen. Weiterhin ist das Zusammenfalten und Aufbewahren bekannter Wetterschutze in einem zusätzlichen, z.B. taschenförmigen Kleidungsteil und ihre Bereitstellung zum Wetterschutz verhältnismäßig aufwändig, zeitraubend und ästhetisch nachteilig. Bei Verwendung eines ponchoartigen Regen- bzw.
