Bei Nierenschutzgurten für Zweiradfahrer unterscheidet man grundsätzlich zwei Arten. Einmal die sogenannten In­nen- oder Stretchgurte, die zumeist unter der Schutz­kleidung getragen werden und hauptsächlich aus einem elastisch dehnbaren Stretchmaterial bestehen. Die andere Art sind Außengurte, die zumeist über der Schutzbeklei­dung getragen werden und meistens aus Leder oder Kunst­leder bestehen und eine verbreitertes Rückenteil aufwei­sen, das den die Nieren schützenden Bereich des Nieren­schutzgurtes darstellt. Die dem Körper zugewandte Seite und insbesondere das Rückenteil dieser Nierenschutzgurte ist häufig mit einem wärmedämmenden Futterstoff besetzt. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Anmeldung sollen unter dem Begriff "Außengurt" alle solche Nierenschutzgurte zu­ sammengefaßt werden, die ein verbreitertes Schutzteil für die Nieren aufweisen.There are basically two types of kidney protection belts for two-wheelers. Dies hat den Nachteil, daß die Schlaufen mit den Verschlußelementen bei einem kurz eingestellten Nierenschutzgurt abstehen und daß der Nierenschutzgurt darüber hinaus durch die Überlappung im Verschlußbereich zur Wulstbildung in die­sem Bereich neigt. Auch entsteht je nach eingestelltem Längenzustand ein unterschiedlicher optischer Eindruck, was aufgrund ästhetischer Gesichtspunkte nicht erwünscht ist. Um diese genannten Schwierigkeiten zu vermeiden bzw. abzumildern, werden derartige Außengurte im Handel in der Regel in Größen- bzw. Längenabstufungen von 5 cm angebo­ten. Damit kann es unter Umständen notwendig sein, daß ein Motorradfahrer im Sommer eine kleinere Größe eines Nierenschutzgurtes benötigt als in den kühleren Jahres­zeiten Herbst, Frühjahr und Winter, wenn er unter der Lederschutzbekleidung noch dicke Kleidungsstücke wie etwa Pullover trägt.A problem that has so far been solved unsatisfactorily with such kidney protection belts is the length adjustment. Da es sich hierbei um relativ festes Stretchmaterial handelt, ist die damit erreichbare Grö­ßen- bzw. Längenvariabilität nicht befriedigend. Eine Verlängerung des Stretcheinsatzes und damit verbundene erweiterte Dehnbarkeit verbietet sich jedoch auch des­halb, weil dann der Nierenschutzgurt in diesem Bereich zum Zusammenfalten neigt, wodurch seine Schutzwirkung be­ einträchtigt wird. Auch ist die Wärmedämmfähigkeit von Stretchmaterial in gedehntem Zustand schlechter als in ungedehntem Zustand, so daß im gedehnten Zustand die op­timale Wärmedämmwirkung des Nierenschutzgurtes nicht mehr gewährleistet ist. mit wenigstens einem dehnbaren Abschnitt, der gegen- über dem Grundmaterial des Nierenschutzgurtes erheb­lich leichter dehnbar gehalten ist, von Leder oder ähnlichem Material abgedeckt ist und wenigstens einem demgegenüber erheblich schwerer dehnbaren oder un­dehnbaren Abschnitt insbesondere aus dem Grundmaterial des Nierenschutzgurtes,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die Abdeckung des leicht dehnbaren Abschnitts (2; 23, 24; 47-52; 65, 66) als Flachhülse (6; 26; 45; 63, 64) ausgebildet ist, die zwei einen Hülsenspalt (7) begrenzende Abdeckteile (8, 9; 53, 54), deren einander gegenüberliegende Ränder schlitzförmige Spaltöffnungen (11, 10; 27, 28; 43, 44) begrenzen, aufweist, wobei der leicht dehnbare Abschnitt (2; 23, 24; 47-52; 65, 66) im Inneren des Hülsenspaltes (7) angeordnet ist, und
