Abstract

Novelty: a single-piece combinational ensemble composed of an umbrella-like hood and a raincoat convertible into waterproof trousers is disclosed to offer efficient protection dictated by existing weather and raining conditions, accordingly. Constitution: a specially-designed umbrella-like hood having arms made of aluminium arcs ω and extending before and over the user’s head in a manual or hydraulic manner; the raincoat’s lower part which is convertible into waterproof trousers protecting against raising-level street rain water. Advantages: autonomy for crutch-assisted people suffering from kinetic problems or for people dealing with sports like cyclism or running; free hands for activities such as holding things, working etc; maximum rain protection; entanglement of umbrellas in crowded sidewalks is avoided since the hood-like umbrella of the invention extends up to the user’s shoulders, not out of them.
