Abstract

A wooden screen wall for assembly within a frame to form panels or decorative columns for various uses. The invention provides a wooden support system with an empty space (4) or space filled with another material such as cane or a geometrical figure. The outer groove (1-2-3) enables fitting to other like elements using a median beam having the dimension of two conjoined grooves. The elements (5) of the structure have a tongue for engaging said grooves (6). The wide range of rough timber, painted or varnished screen walls provides individualized assemblies. The system of the invention lends itself particularly to architectural applications and furniture manufacture.

Description

THE WOODEN CLAUSTRA AND ITS ASSEMBLY.

The present invention relates to a wooden fence system. Its assembly inside a frame, allows it to be used as a decorative panel in architecture (partitions, posts, ceilings, etc.) and for making furniture.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WOODEN CLAUSTRA

Hexahedral case with empty space.

ASSEMBLY (or nesting of wooden screens)

The assembly is done by the external faces of the wooden trellises. A groove (2) separates these external faces lengthwise for a depth of 10 mm by a width of 40 mm. These wooden screens can be assembled inside a frame.

THE CHASSIS

A wooden frame whose elements (Figure 5, 6) have on their internal faces a tongue 9 mm thick by 39 mm wide, the edges (as in Figure 1, 1) measure 30 mm. HORIZONTAL ASSEMBLY (Figure 5)

The first horizontal row of screens is fixed to the base and to the two vertical elements of the chassis. The upper groove of the wooden claustras receives a horizontal median beam of the length of the row. The ends of the middle beam are fixed by screws, cious or small brackets.

Another solution in this specific case of horizontal assembly: spaces prepared in the tongue of the vertical elements of the chassis where the ends of the middle beams will be fixed. The dimensions of the middle beams

The height 19 mm plays for 10 mm deep from your previous groove and 9 mm serving as a tongue for your next row.

These operations are repeated until the last row which receives the upper element of the chassis to complete the assembly.

Vertical assembly Identical to the horizontal assembly, the difference comes from the rows and vertical median beams inside the chassis.

THE DIFFERENT WOODEN CLAUSTRAS

La Claustra simple (figures 1 a and 1 b)

The compound Claustra (Figures 2, 3 and 4) 11 is composed of the simple fence which receives on its internal faces or in the corners one or more wooden elements.

The compound Claustra loses an angle in favor of the wooden element occupying this angle. Another peculiarity: of the assembly (figure 7) The groove exists here on your external faces opposite the disappeared angle. The assembly is made between four claustras cut. This set fits perfectly into a vertical or horizontal assembly of screens.

The associative Claustra

The screens that we have just seen can receive on their internal faces or in the empty space, one or more elements coming from another material.

The fence alone or by assembling it as a decorative panel is used in the making of furniture.

The two compound screens used are cubic to solve the problem of center of gravity. This system is also useful in the case of a bench using two feet of two wooden claustras inside their chassis. Table: example figure 12

The three screens used will be cubic. The side face of the table leads to two hypotheses:

- a circular or square table with a single leg of three wooden claustras.

- a rectangular or circular glass table with two legs of three wooden claustras. It should be noted: that two sides of the foot are decorative and two others are made of simple wood

(smooth).

Other examples of furniture

Chairs, beds, cupboards, wardrobes, etc ... the artistic forms (figures 10, 11 and 12) are chosen just for the examples. The cane associative screen appears as a real tool in Cabinetmaking.

OTHER WOODEN CLAUSTRAS

The screens can have all dimensions depending on the desired decor:

The 5 mm wooden ciaustra (Figures 8 a and b) thickness of the 5 mm fencing: is fixed by gluing on wall or partition, it can be simple compound, cut or associative.

A wall covered with associative 5 mm screens, cane or colored glass.

The system according to the invention is particularly intended for adding woodwork to contemporary concrete.

Claims

1) Wooden fencing system in the form of a frame made up of four elements characterized by their external central groove.

2) Device according to claim 1, characterized by the assembly of wooden claustras using vertical or horizontal median beams. 3) Device according to claim 2, characterized in that the median beams represent the space existing between the grooves of two rows of fences.

4) Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by the assembly inside a frame composed of wooden elements having on their internal surfaces a tongue calibrated to the dimensions of the groove.

5) Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the internal surfaces are occupied by figures of wood or other material (example of caning). 6) Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by the use of these decorative panels in architecture and in the manufacture of furniture. 7) Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the very thin wooden claustras are used adhesively on a wall.

8) Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the claustras have square, rectangular or triangular faces.

9) Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the wooden claustras are used as storage space. AMENDED CLAIMS

1) Range of wooden claustras characterized by their assembly inside a chassis in order to create a panel used in multiple applications in architecture and furniture production.

2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the simple fence is a wooden frame consisting of four identical elements (figla and b).

3) Device according to claim 2 characterized in that the compound ciaustra is a simple claustra of which one, two, three or the four internal faces compose an architectural work using other wooden elements (fig 2,3 and 4 ).

4) Device according to claim 2 characterized in that the cut ciaustra is a simple claustra whose angle is removed and replaced by an internal architectural work (fig 6).

5) Device according to claim 4 characterized by the assembly of the claustras cut in groups of four with the four angles removed towards the center, as being a new claustra composed of higher dimension (fig7). 6) Device according to the preceding claims, characterized in that the associative fence is one of the previous shutters with an internal work composed of wood associated with another material or entirely made of this other material (example of cane).

7) Device according to any one of the preceding claims characterized by the assembly using lateral grooves of the wooden claustras, median beams, tongues of the internal faces of the chassis; all calibrated to the dimensions of the branches (fig 5). 8) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by the necessary use of the frame even in the case of the installation of a single row of screens (fig 11 and 12).

9) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized by the use of the range of very thin claustras adhesively.

10) Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that these panels are spaces combining the luminosity, the different shapes and the colors of the whole range of wooden screens.

DECLARATION ACCORDING TO ARTICLE 19

The old claims presented a certain lightness with regard to wooden cloisters; not mentioning the range of claustras in the description (which is not exhaustive) and their innovative specificities.

It was necessary to add the numbers of the diagrams corresponding to the new claims to confirm that they actually come from the description.

It is necessary to specify the dimensions of the model in the description 200 mms x 200 mms whose dimensions of a standard model should not be far from it.

And to standardize this new architecture close to design combining different parameters that can be listed such as colors, shapes, lighting, thicknesses, optical effects ... etc.

The innovation concerns wooden claustras as a finished painted, verais or raw product used as an element that can be held inside a hand and added directly to a completed or almost completed architectural work as a facade or post of a piece of furniture (in a location prepared for this operation).
