  • the driving band is opened by virtue of a suitably configured parting cut running transversely across its casing surface, so that it can easily be forced apart and drawn over the guide bead in question, whilst, at the same time, the latter can be fully dimensioned.
  • the driving band is able to recover its original shape. It is also conceivable, following assem ⁇ bly, to glue or weld the driving band together along the parting cut, but, rather surprisingly, this has been shown to be unnecessary.

Abstract

Procédé permettant d'équiper des munitions à énergie cinétique telles que des projectiles sous-calibrés de type flèche (2), de ceintures de forcement glissantes en matière plastique (11) jouant le rôle de joints d'étanchéité dans le tube-canon. A cet effet, les ceintures de forcement sont équipées, avant leur mise en place, d'au moins une fente (13) traversant la surface de leur enveloppe et facilitant l'emboîtement de la ceinture de forcement dans une gorge (8) de conception particulière. L'invention concerne également la ceinture de forcement finie.
