Definitions
- the invention relates to a closure cap for cans with a circumferential can edge.
- Such cans are used, for example, as beverage cans, preserve cans, spray cans or the like.
- a sealing cover for beverage cans is known from US Pat. No. 4,917,258.
- This cover has a substantially flattened surface and a circumferential collar on its peripheral edge, which forms a groove open at the bottom.
- the groove engages around the elastic edge of the can, and the circumferential Kra ⁇ gene of the lid snaps' a. This creates a releasable connection between the lid and the can.
- the can lid presented in US Pat. No. 4,917,258 is suitable for closing, in particular, opened beverage cans. It reduces the leakage of Gases from the drink and protects it against contamination from outside.
- the object of the present invention is to provide a closure for cans with a circumferential can rim, such as beverage cans or the like, which securely and releasably closes such cans and at the same time for further functions, such as, for example, as safe and detachable closable drinking cup or as an advertising medium, can be used.
- the closure cap then consists of a can lid and a container which is detachably connected to the can lid.
- the can lid has a groove on its peripheral edge, which engages and detachably engages around the can edge.
- the container has at least partially a projection on its peripheral edge, which can also be snapped around by the groove of the can lid.
- This special shape of the closure cap means that a can can be securely closed with the can lid at any time and repeatedly. This not only prevents the drinks from accidentally escaping from the can, but also keeps the drinks fresh longer due to the reduced release of gases dissolved in them. In particular, contamination of the drinks in open beverage cans by foreign bodies or insects which penetrate from the outside is also prevented.
- the container connected to the can lid can be detached from the can lid and are then used, for example, as drinking cups. This means that the beverage can first be transferred from the can to the mug and then drunk straight from the mug. Risks due to sharp-edged openings in the can or an unpleasant aftertaste of the drinks due to metallic contamination from the outside of the can are consequently prevented.
- the can lid is pressed onto the container in such a way that the groove on the peripheral edge of the can lid engages around the peripheral edge of the container.
- the groove located on the peripheral edge of the can lid can in principle take on different shapes, for example as a round or rectangular recess in the peripheral edge of the can lid.
- This channel can extend only to a part of the can lid or can be formed all the way around the entire peripheral edge of the can lid.
- a channel running radially inwards and / or downwards on the inside and / or underside of the peripheral edge of the can lid is particularly suitable for securely locking the groove of the can lid with the Can edge.
- the closure cap according to the invention is also suitable as an advertising medium, both on the outside and on the inside of the can lid.
- the container itself can be used as an accessory holder, for example for advertising media, ingredients, auxiliary tools, small toys, collectibles or the like to accommodate.
- the shape and / or size of the container is in principle unlimited and is only influenced by the various functions of the container or by aesthetic ideas. For example, cup-shaped, cylindrical, frustoconical, spherical, balloon-shaped, angular, round or any other shape can be used.
- a particularly good connection between the can lid and the edge of the can and between the groove of the can lid and the peripheral edge of the container is obtained if the groove of the can lid is designed such that it lies flush against the peripheral edge of the can and the projection of the peripheral edge of the container has a shape which is substantially similar to or equal to the shape of the part of the can edge encompassed by the groove of the can lid.
- the can lid can be produced on the side facing away from the can with the container by means of a groove provided on the inner side of the peripheral edge of the container and a spring attached on the side of the can lid facing away from the can.
- This connection between the can lid and the container can be made elastic or inelastic. In the latter case, it is possible to provide a predetermined breaking point on the tongue engaging in the groove, so that the tongue breaks off from the container when the can lid is first separated. In this way it is particularly possible to to determine whether a sales packaging with a closure cap according to the invention has already been opened.
- the outside of the can lid can be provided with an at least partially circumferential projection, which enables the lid to be removed more easily from the can.
- a further improvement of the can lid can be achieved by a lip which extends at least partially along the inside of the peripheral edge of the can lid. Such a lip further improves the seal between the can and the can lid or between the container and the can lid, so that an even better closure can be achieved.
- a lip can be made of rubber, for example.
- the can lid can have an area in which it is easy to break through.
- Such an area can be achieved by measures known per se, such as, for example, a thin membrane, reduced material thickness, pre-punched slots, perforated openings or the like. A straw can then be inserted through such an opening, for example.
- the closure cap itself can consist of different materials, such as plastic or metal.
- the use of transparent material, in particular plastic has the advantage that the contents of the container can be viewed.
- advertising media can be effectively placed in the container.
- a further possibility of increasing the advertising effectiveness of the closure cap according to the invention is that the can lid, the container or the can is at least partially surrounded by a band. Any advertising information can then be displayed on the banderole.
- a band can be used as a security band to prevent premature opening, for example of the container, and at the same time to signal by an undamaged band that the closure cap has not yet been opened.
- Sealing cap 2 shows a cross section of a closure cap fastened to a can
- FIG. 3 shows a further cross section of a closure cap fastened on a can; 4 shows a container closed by a can lid;
- FIG. 5 shows a further closure cap fastened to a can
- FIG. 7 shows a further cross section of a closure cap fastened on a can.
- 1 shows a closure cap fastened on a can 1 with a peripheral edge 2.
- the closure cap consists of a can lid 3 and a container 5.
- the can lid 3 has a projection 4 with which the can lid 3 can be easily pushed away from the can rim 2.
- an area 12 is shown which can easily be pierced, for example through a straw.
- This cap is shown in more detail in Figures 2 and 3.
- the can lid has a groove which forms a groove and is open radially inwards and with which the can lid engages around the edge 2 of the can 1 in a snap-in manner.
- the easily penetrable area 12 and a closure of the can 6 are shown. As in
- a peripheral edge 9 of the container 5 has a radially outward projection, which in this example has a shape that corresponds to the shape of the can edge 2.
- the groove 11 is a circumferential in this example
- the spring 10 essentially consists of a projection which is attached to the can lid 3 and is directed radially outwards.
- the container 5 can now serve, for example, as a cup for holding the drinks. As shown in FIG. 4, the container 5 can then be closed with the can lid 3 such that the radially outward projection 14 of the peripheral edge 9 of the container 5 acts as a spring in the groove 8 of the can lid 3 intervenes. As with the can, this results in a secure closure of the container 5, which, however, can be released again at any time.
- the can 1 in turn has a radially outwardly projecting edge 2.
- the can cover 3 also has a groove 8 which forms a radially inwardly directed channel, the shape of which corresponds to the shape of the can edge 2.
- the can lid 3 can consequently be snapped and detachably connected to the can 1 so that the can rim 2 engages in the groove 8 of the can lid 3 in a coherent manner.
- the can lid 3 has on its inside a circumferential rubber lip 13, which additionally seals the area between the can edge and the can lid.
- the container 5 is connected to the container lid 3 by the engagement of a spring 10 of the can lid 3 in a groove 11 of the peripheral edge 9 of the container 5 that is open radially inwards.
- the peripheral edge 9 of the container 5 has a radially outward projection 9, the shape of which corresponds to the shape of the can edge 2.
- the can lid 3 has a projection 4 protruding radially outwards via the groove 8. If the projection 4 is pressed in the direction of the groove 8, the connection between the groove 8 and the can rim 2 or between the groove can be made thereby 8 and the spring 14 of the peripheral edge 9 of the container 5 loosen easily.
