Definitions
- the invention relates to a chair or a seat device according to the preamble of the main claim.
- Such chairs having an adjustment mechanism have the disadvantage that the hardness of movement of the adjustment mechanism is directly influenced by the weight of the seated person, depending on the weight either a basic adjustment of the seat inclination or backrest inclination already takes place or that the adjustment forces required for the adjustment mechanism change depending on the weight.
- the chair according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that a type of self-adjustment takes place in which the weight of the user compensating spring causes a balance of forces in the kinematics due to the increasing force, without thereby relying on the respectively predetermined Adjustment of the inclination of the seat and backrest is influenced.
- the spring can be designed as a spring assembly with springs that also act against one another and / or as a leaf or ribbon spring.
- the compensating spring designed as a helical spring engages on the underside of the seat support.
- the helical spring is designed as a compression spring and, on the one hand, is coaxial with the strut on an upper one
- the bearing plate can be guided over a web, which in the area of
- Coil spring in particular in the form of a compression spring, is the very simple one required for this
- a coil spring can be supported very easily via a spring plate on the shock absorber, the two parts being arranged coaxially to one another in sections, and the coil spring compressed to the block hardly has to look beyond the upper side of the shock absorber.
- the bearing plate ensures that the helical spring with its end facing away from the shock absorber is easily displaceable relative to the underside of the seat support without the helical spring therefore having to be displaced from its stroke axis direction which is optimal for the effect.
- the helical spring is waisted in its central region, as a result of which the block length can be reduced and greater flexibility is given with a slight curvature of the lifting axis. In addition, no guidance against kinking the spring is required.
- Fig. 1 u. 2 shows the essential parts of a swivel chair mechanism according to the invention under two different loads
- Fig. 3 shows a variant with a waisted spring.
- the drawing shows the inclination mechanism of an office chair, specifically in FIG. 1 at a load of approximately 50 kg, which is symbolized by the arrow I, and in FIG. 2 at a load of approximately 100 kg, which is symbolized by the arrow II .
- a bearing block 3 On a chair leg 1, which has a non-illustrated base toward the floor, a bearing block 3 is arranged via a spring strut 2 with a bearing head 4 and two supporting arms 5 which are firmly connected to it and partially encompass it.
- the supporting arms 5 are on the bearing head 4 flattened away side to tabs 6 which are pivotally mounted in slots of a lever 7 formed from two longitudinally interconnected tubes.
- a journal 8 serves as the axis of rotation.
- a seat bracket 11 is also pivotally mounted on a bearing pin 12 via a bracket 9.
- this is mounted via a tab 13 and a bearing pin 14 on a backrest support 15 of a backrest of the office chair, which in turn is mounted on a pivot bearing 16 on the bearing head 4 is articulated.
- a locking device 17 is provided between the backrest support and the bearing head.
- a coil spring 19 is arranged on a spring plate 18, which on the other hand is supported by a bearing plate 21 on the underside of the seat support 11.
- the bearing plate 21 is guided over a web 22, which in turn is pivotally mounted on the journal 8.
- the lever 7 is pivoted forward about the bearing pin 8, the front edge of the seat bracket 11 being pulled down and, while taking the bearing pin 14 and the backrest bracket 15 with it, the rear end the seat support 11 is raised. In principle, however, the average height remains unchanged.
- the seat support 11 slides with its underside on the bearing plate 21 which is held by the web 22, so that the coil spring 19 remains unchanged in its operative position.
- the bearing head 4 is guided axially displaceably via a guide bore 23 on the lateral surface 24 of the spring strut 2.
- the coil spring 19 is not pushed together at the only 50 kg load I in Fig. 1, so that the bearing head 4 virtually assumes an upper starting position on the strut 2.
- the bearing head 4 on the spring strut 2 is pushed down after the coil spring 19 has been compressed accordingly.
- a Compression of the coil spring 19 is achieved depending on the load weight, so that the adjusting mechanism or tilt mechanism reacts in the manner of a reaction force by compressing the coil spring 19, but by moving the bearing head 4 and thus the bearing block 3 downwards, the basic setting of the seat support 11 to bracket 3 ie the position of the lever 7 or the backrest support 15 remains unchanged.
- the force that is necessary to adjust the adjustment mechanism is therefore dependent on the actual load on the chair.
- the helical spring 25 is designed in a waisted manner, the release cable 26 being carried out between the middle turns of the helical spring 25, which do not touch even when the spring is compressed.
- the front of the seat support 11 is supported by a link control 27.
