Description

PAIR OF GLASSES MODULAR

The present invention relates to a pair of adjustable spectacles, that is to say comprising, firstly, a pair of glasses per se, which holder is provided with at least one mounting member and, secondly various accessories provided with complementary mounting members from that or those of the frame, these members being shaped to permit mounting / manual and rapid disassembly of various accessories on the frame.

This pair of glasses is particularly suitable for outdoor sports practice, such as skiing, its modularity allows for quickly and easily adapt to different climatic conditions encountered.

The glasses of this existing type are limited in their modulation capabilities. They prove, therefore, hardly adaptable to all situations encountered and are unusable as simple sunglasses.

In addition, the accessories include mounting members that they are not very practical to 1'emploi.

The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks 1'ensemble.

The pair of glasses to which it relates is of the type comprising, firstly, a pair of glasses per se, the frame is provided with mounting members and, on the other hand, various accessories provided with mounting members complementary to those of the frame, these members being shaped to permit mounting / manual and rapid disassembly of various accessories on the frame, the pair of spectacles comprising, among various accessories, a flexible material part, which is shaped on one side to match the shape of the face and on another face to match the shape of the frame, and which is provided with * mounting members adapted to cooperate with those that comprises the frame or accessories can be mounted on it.

According to the invention, the legs of the frame comprise two members for detachably mounting accessories holding glasses on the head of the user; the frame comprises, at the bridge, a body for mounting a nose protection accessory; and 1'élément of mounting members of flexible material are complementary to those of said spectacle holding accessories on the head of the user and the frame members, all of these members being shaped to enable the rapid installation 1'élément flexible material on the frame and held fixed to it, independently of the introduction or withdrawal of the protective accessory nose or 1'interchangement of glasses holding accessories on the head of the user.

All of these bodies is formed to allow the rapid assembly of the flexible material part on the frame and held fixed to it, independently of the introduction or withdrawal of the nose protection accessory or 1 interchange holding accessories glasses on the head of the user. The invention allows to easily and quickly form a protective shield of the eyes, by mounting the flexible material part on the spectacle frame.

When the flexible material part is removed, the glasses can be used as ordinary sunglasses.

Furthermore, the mounting or dismounting of the flexible material part may be made without risk of stalling of the nose 1'élément protection, and vice versa, and 1'interchangement holding members of the pair of eyeglasses on the head the user can be achieved without the flexible material part is likely to fall off of the mount.

The flexible element is lightweight and compact. It can advantageously be obtained by thermocompression of a thermoformable material piece.

Advantageously, the locking or unlocking of the member for mounting the nose of the protective accessory and complementary mounting means of the flexible material component is made by pivoting on itself of the supported member by the frame, and this member is shaped so as to allow to release the member that comprises the flexible material part in a specific angular position and to release the mounting member to the nose of the guard member in another position angular.

The assembly or disassembly of the flexible material part may be operated without risk of stalling of the nose 1'élément protection, and vice versa.

Anyway, the invention will be better understood using the following description, with reference to the appended diagrammatic drawing representing, by way of nonlimiting example, a preferred embodiment of the pair of adjustable spectacles that concerned.

Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view, with its various accessories; FIG 2 is a perspective view, in a configuration that allows one invention; Figure 3 is an enlarged exploded and enlarged perspective view of some of the mounting members; Figure 4 is a view of these same components, after assembly, in section along the line IV-IV of Figure 3; and Figures 5 to 7 are front views of the pair of eyeglasses, showing another of its mounting members in three different operating positions. Figure 1 shows a pair of adjustable spectacles 1, the frame 2 comprises various specific mounting members, described below, and a set of accessories, provided with mounting means allowing their rapid adaptation to the frame 2, namely :

- a support member 3 on the nose, comprising lateral wings 4 and a groove 5 allowing its insertion with jamming on the frame 2;

- two lateral flanges insulation 6 further comprising vent holes 7 and grooves 8 for their clipping on the swivel arms 9 of the frame 2;

- a protection element 10 of the nose, in particular against sun, comprising two lateral flanges 11 and an upper projection 12 adapted to be retained by one of the two frame mounting members;

- pairs of elements 13,14,15 for maintaining the pair of glasses 1 on the head of the user, some elements 13,15 having a curved end for support against the ears of the user and other elements 14 including lights 16 for the engagement of an elastic band 17 intended to pass around the neck of the user; and

- a thermocompressed foam member 18, shaped on one side, to match the shape of the face of the user and, on another side, to match the shape of the frame 2.

For mounting elements 10,13,14,15,18, the frame 2 comprises: - two portions 19 of annular shape, located at the free ends of the swivel arms 9; each comprises a radial recess 20 and a groove in its inner peripheral wall, this recess

20 communicating with said groove; and - a pivoting button 21 having a generally trapezoidal shape with rounded corners for reasons which will be explained with reference to Figures 5 to 7, which comprises on its inner face a cylindrical hollow projection 22 provided on the one hand, a outer peripheral flange (not visible in the figures) allowing its clipping rotatably in a bore 23 arranged at deck level of the frame 2 and on the other hand, two internal flanges vis-à-vis delimiting between them a diametral rectangular opening and two inner shoulders (not visible in the figures but identical to the flanges 32, aperture 33 and shoulders 34 will be described below with reference to Figure 4).

As shown more particularly in Figures 1,3 and 4, for their placement on the mount 2: - the protection element 10 of the nose is positioned in front of the frame 2 so that its side flanges 11 can be inserted behind the latter and resting against it, and that its upper projection 12 can be covered with the button 21. the positions thereof other than that shown in Figure 5;

- the elements 13 and 14 for holding the pair of glasses 1 on the head of the user each comprise a hollow cylindrical projection 30 adapted to be engaged in the opening of said annular portions 19, provided with a hand, to a radial projection 31 adapted to be engaged in 1'évidement 20 and to slide in said groove and, on the other hand, two internal flanges 32 vis-à-vis delimiting between them an aperture 33 and two diametral shoulders 34; and

- the foam member 18 comprises three pins 40 in the form of "T", secured to bases 41 provided with fingers 42 coming through the foam member 18 and a back plate 43 before being crimped onto the latter; two of the pins 40 are arranged laterally and are intended to come opposite the openings of the annular portions 19 above, upon mounting of said foam member 18 on the frame 2, and the third nipple 40 is arranged frontally and intended to come in front of the bore 23, the pins 40 being shaped to be engaged in the diametrical openings 33 that include the elements 13,14 and the pivoted button 21 until their end branch is located beyond the shoulders 34 and as shown in Figure 4. in practice, once the projections 30 items

13,14 engaged in the openings of the annular portions 19 and the studs 40 engaged in the diametrical openings 33, elements 13 or 14 and the switch 21 are pivoted to engage the branches of extremal nipples 40 and behind the shoulders 34, simultaneously to engage the radial projections 31 into the grooves arranged in said annular portions 19.

Thus, the mounting elements 13 or 14 and foam member 18 can be easily and rapidly achieved the same gesture, or to use the pair of spectacles 1 as a simple pair of sunglasses, or to constitute a monitor 45 of eye protection, as shown in Figure 2.

As shown in the figures, the elements 13,14,15 and the switch 21 preferably comprise spikes 50 anti-slip, for actuation with the fingertips, or two hollows ent 51 defining therebetween a tongue 52, for actuation with nails or with any object, said tongue 52 being preferably oriented in the same direction as the diametrical opening 33 above, so that the user can immediately view the positioning of this opening compared to the nipples 40 and therefore , whether the locking thereof is performed or not. Figures 5 to 7 show different positions of the button 21 and allow to explain its abovementioned specific shape, trapezoidal with rounded corners.

The button 21 has an edge 21a perpendicular to the diametrical opening 33 above, allowing him to discover, and therefore to release the projection 12 of the protection element 10 of the nose when it is placed in the position shown in Figure 5. the introduction or removal of the member 10 are therefore possible, when the button 21 is in this position without the risk of unlocking the element 18 made of foam.

The button 21 also has two side edges 21b arranged inclined to said diametral opening 33, allowing it to partially cover the protrusion 12 of the protection element 10 of the nose to maintain the element 10, when in its position authorizing the introduction or withdrawal of the sponge material 18, as shown in Figure 7.

The switch 21 finally presents an opposite edge 21c to edge 21a, also perpendicular to the diametrical opening 33, allowing him both to retain the element 10 to protect the nose and the foam member 18 on the frame.

Thus, the knob 21 is shaped so as to allow to release the peg 40, in its angular position shown in Figure 7, to release the protection element 10 of the nose, in its other angular position shown in Figure 5, and to maintain the foam member 18 and the element 10 to protect the nose in all its other angular positions, and in particular that shown in figure 6.

It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the embodiment described above as an example but embraces, on the contrary, all variants. Thus, elements 13-15 to maintain the pair of glasses 1 on the head of the user can be simply clip-in the annular portions 19 and comprise, as shown for the elements referenced 15, a flange device instead of the radial projection 31, similar to the one that comprises the knob 21.

In addition, the glasses according to the invention may comprise, among its components:

- a simple optical panoramic screen, consisting of a semi-rigid sheet of transparent material and / or - a facial mask member, adapted to cover all or part of the face, each comprising complementary attachment members of those that the element comprises 18 of flexible material, so as to be fixed to it.
