Abstract

The front lens frame (F) is formed by two similar halves (Fi, Fe), with the front half having a rim (D) round each lens opening for locating the lenses (Q1, Q2) and several spaced pegs (E, E1), pointing inwards, which locate in similarly spaced holes (G) in the rear frame half (Fi) when the two halves (Fi, Fe) are fitted together. A cushioning form layer (M) is secured to the rear face of the rear frame half (Fi) by a two sided adhesive film (Fa) and this frame half (Fi) is also provided with side arms (A) around which the ends of an elastic retaining band (B) can be looped.
