Abstract

Each link (1) has a main portion (2) of which the inner side has two semi-cylindrical recesses (4a, 4b) and of which one of the large sides has two semi-cylindrical extensions (5a, 5b) designed to fit into and rotate coaxially in the recesses (4a, 4b) of an adjacent link (1). A retaining element (7) has semi-cylindrical projections (9a, 9b) which fit into recesses (6a, 6b) in the side extensions (5a, 5b). All these semi-cylindrical parts (4a, 4b; 5a, 5b; 6a, 6b; 9a, 9b) are coaxial so that a certain amount of rotation is possible between adjacent links. A pin (3) provides the connection between these links by fastening each link (1) onto the retaining element (7) which co-operates with the extension (5a, 5b) of an adjacent link. This design avoids the need for the pivots which have heretofore been used.

Metal bracelet formed of a row of articulated links extending perpendicular to the length of the bracelet, characterized in that the successive links are connected and articulated together by parts of each of them forming hooks (17) of at least approximately semi-cylindrical shape, engaged in corresponding semi-cylindrical housings (14a) of an adjoining link, in that each hook part (17) has a semi-cylindrical cavity (20a) coaxial with its semi-external surface -cylindrical, and in that it comprises parts (22) for holding assembled links, which have semi-cylindrical projecting parts (24, 25) engaged in said semi-cylindrical cavities (20a), a pin (16) being fixed on at least certain links and passing through a central hole of each piece (22) holding it in place, while a locking means (26) retains each holding piece (22) in the working position on the corresponding pin (16).

Bracelet selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que chaque maillon (1) présente une partie principale (2) s'étendant perpendiculairement à la longueur du bracelet, au milieu de laquelle une goupille (3) est fixée sur elle, tandis que, de part et d'autre de cette goupille, cette partie principale (2) présente, sur sa face intérieure par rapport au poignet, deux cavités symétriques (4a, 4b) au moins approximativement semi-cylindriques, en ce que chaque maillon présente d'un côté deux extensions latérales (5a, 5b) de forme sensiblement semi-cylindrique, prévues pour s'emboîter dans lesdites cavités (4a, 4b) d'un maillon voisin, pour réunir ces deux maillons de façon articulée, et en ce qu'il est prévu, pour chaque maillon, une pièce de retenue (7) fixée à l'extrémité libre de ladite goupille (3) , pour retenir lesdites parties semi-cylindriques (4a, 5a et 4b, 5b) en position d'engagement, une certaine rotation relative entre le maillon considéré et ledit maillon voisin étant assurée par un jeu entre maillons et par le fait que lesdites extensions latérales semi-cylindriques (5a, 5b) présentent, sur la face intérieure du bracelet, des cavités (6a, 6b) sensiblement semi-cylindriques coaxiales entre elles et avec ces extensions latérales (5a, 5b) , tandis que la pièce de retenue (7) présente deux parties semi- cylindriques (9a, 9b) en relief emboîtées dans ces cavités (6a, 6b) .2. Bracelet selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que ladite goupille (3) est fixée par une de ses extrémités dans un trou borgne de la partie principale (2) du maillon (1) , tandis que son extrémité opposée est à ras de la surface intérieure du bracelet et est engagée et soudée dans un trou (10) de ladite pièce de retenue (7) .3. Bracelet, selon la revendication 1, caractéri¬ sé en ce qu'il comporte des maillons d'une première espèce (11) alternant avec des maillons d'une seconde espèce (12), en ce que les maillons de première espèce (11) présentent, sur leur face interne par rapport au poignet, deux paires de cavités (13, 13a ; 14, 14a) symétriques par rapport au plan longitudinal médian de ces maillons, les deux cavités (13, 13a ; 14, 14a ) de chaque paire étant de forme semi-cylindrique, coaxiales et distantes axialement l'une de l'autre, en ce que chaque maillon de seconde espèce (12) est aussi de forme symétrique par rapport à son plan longitudinal médian et présente deux paires d'extensions (17, 17a ; 18, 18a) latérales saillantes, en forme de crochets au moins approximativement semi-cylindriques, ces crochets préβen- tant chacun deux surfaces semi-cylindriques coaxiales de rayons différents, l'une convexe et l'autre concave, la surface semi-cylindrique de plus grand rayon et convexe (19, 19a) de chaque crochet étant logée dans une deβ- diteε cavités (13, 13a ; 14, 14a) semi-cylindriques d'un maillon contigu de première espèce (11), tandis que la surface semi-cylindrique de plus petit rayon de chaque crochet (20, 20a ; 21, 21a) forme une cavité semi-cylin¬ drique, en ce qu'il comporte des goupilles d'assemblage (16) solidaires chacune d'un maillon de première espèce (11) et faisant saillie sur la face interne de celui-ci, en ce qu'il comporte des plaquettes d'assemblage (22) engagées chacune par un trou central (23) qu'elle pré¬ sente, sur une de ces goupilles d'assemblage (16), cha¬ cune de ces plaquettes d'assemblage (22) présentant deux paires symétriques de εaillies (24, 24a ; 25, 25a) semi- cylindriques logées chacune dans une des cavités semi-cy¬ lindriques susdites (20, 20a ; 21, 21a) d'un crochet (17, 18), et en ce qu'il comporte un moyen de retenue (26) coopérant avec chaque goupille d'assemblage (16), pour retenir en position de coopération toutes leε par¬ ties semi-cylindriques mentionnées, les crochets (17, 18) susdits étant libres d'osciller chacun d'une cer¬ taine quantité, grâce à un jeu entre les maillons (11, 12), en glissant entre la paroi des cavités semi-cylin¬ driques respectives (13, 13a ; 14, 14a) des maillons de première espèce (11) et la surface des εaillies semi-cir¬ culaires correspondantes (24, 24a ; 25, 25a) des plaquet¬ tes (22) d'assemblage, pour assurer ainsi une oscilla¬ tion limitée relative des maillons entre eux et permet¬ tant l'adaptation du bracelet autour du poignet.5.
