Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à des procédés et dispositif d'administration d'une anesthésie spinale directement dans l'espace subarachnoïde d'un patient. L'un des procédés et dispositif utilise une aiguille spinale de petit gabarit pour pénétrer dans la paroi durale; l'autre utilise un cathéter (32) de petit gabarit à stylet interne (34) possédant une pointe non aiguisée (36) pour séparer les filaments de la paroi durale. Un introducteur (12) à extrémité arrondie (20) est également prévu pour guider et soutenir l'aiguille spinale ou le cathéter, quand une force leur est appliquée, pour les faire pénétrer dans la paroi durale.
