Abstract

On produit le charbon actif par pyrolyse à hyperfréquence d'un matériau carboné dans une atmosphère qui ne contient pas plus de 5 % d'oxygène afin de limiter la génération de flammes. Le produit ainsi obtenu est traité avec un acide (afin d'en éliminer par lavage les valeurs sulfuriques ou métalliques), puis activé par un traitement avec de la vapeur surchauffée et/ou du dioxyde de carbone à température élevée.
