Abstract

Une méthode et un appareil de conversion de signaux vidéo prévoient de minimiser les retards de champ en utilisant une interpolation dans l'espace lorsqu'il y a mouvement dans l'image et, en cas d'absence de mouvement dans une zone donnée de l'image, en répétant une partie du signal précédent représentant le même emplacement spatial dans l'image. Pour évaluer le mouvement, on calcule le signal d'entrée moyen sur un bloc de pixels N x M et on relève la différence de trame de ce signal. Ce signal de différence de trame peut être dispersé par filtrage dans le temps de manière à éviter le problème de la barre de défilement. On peut encore obtenir d'autres améliorations en faisant la somme et la différence d'échantillons successifs du signal d'entrée, en soumettant cette somme au traitement d'adaptation au mouvement décrit ci-dessus, en appliquant une interpolation spatiale au signal de différence, et en recombinant les signaux ainsi traités.
