In the event of a traffic accident, the accident hospital can be called in this way, for example, while the owner or the police are primarily notified in the event of a car theft. If the emergency call device is appropriately installed in the motor vehicle, a willful destruction of the emergency call device and a switching off of the emergency call device can be avoided.
- the mobile phone 1 can be used like a conventional radio telephone.

Abstract
An emergency call system for vehicles sends an automatic emergency call in the event of danger, accident or breakdown, that can be clearly read at a signalling station, or announced by a loudspeaker. The simultaneous transmission of the vehicle position and number of persons in the vehicle allows important information to be immediately transmitted, for example in the case of an accident. Various vehicle systems, for example an air bag system, an anti-theft alarm system, temperature sensors and vehicle controllers can be used as signal generators. The location of the vehicle is given by a locating/navigating device on board the vehicle, making the taking of bearings unnecessary.
Description
Notrufeinrichtung für ein Fahrzeug Emergency call device for a vehicle
Stand der Technik State of the art
The invention relates to an emergency call device for a vehicle, in particular a motor vehicle, according to the preamble of the main claim. Emergency call devices are already known, which are stationary, for example, as emergency call pillars on motorways or busy federal roads. In the event of a traffic accident or a car breakdown, the driver may have to travel a long way to the next emergency call station to call for help. As a result, a lot of unnecessary time is lost, which is particularly valuable in a traffic accident involving injured people.
Furthermore, a mobile phone is known that can be operated in a motor vehicle. The mobile phone is connected via radio to a receiving station, which can be used to call for help in an emergency, among other things. The mobile phone must be operated manually by the driver or a passenger.
Experience shows that, for example, in the event of an accident, a person who is not very experienced can not use the mobile phone in the excitement, be it only that they cannot think of the corresponding emergency number or that the person can only provide incomplete information. It may take a long time to get the necessary help. In particular, a rapid emergency call can hardly be made in the event of a serious accident involving injured and unconscious people. This saves life-saving first aid measures.
It is also known that a manually triggered emergency call can be emitted from an emergency radio device located in a motor vehicle. This emergency call is received by stationary receiving stations.
The location of the emergency caller must be determined by bearing with stationary direction finders in order to be able to help him. This requires a lot of direction finders across the country.
Vorteile der Erfindung Advantages of the invention
The emergency call device according to the invention with the characterizing features of the main claim has the advantage that an emergency call is triggered automatically.
It is particularly advantageous that the emergency call contains the position data of the motor vehicle, which are continuously determined by the location system. Elaborate and especially faulty bearings are eliminated.
Advantageous further developments and improvements of the emergency call device specified in the main claim are possible through the measures listed in the subclaims.
It is advantageous that the emergency call device has a backup battery which ensures the proper functioning of the emergency call device in the event of a failure of the supply voltage present in a motor vehicle. This is particularly advantageous when, for example, the motor vehicle is stolen and the built-in alarm system triggers an emergency call It is also advantageous if the signals from a signal transmitter that trigger an emergency call are transmitted via infrared transmitters / receivers, because this greatly simplifies the installation of further signal transmitters.
It is particularly advantageous that the emergency call also contains vehicle-specific data, preferably the number plate, the vehicle type or the hazard class for bulk carriers or the telephone number of the motor vehicle. In this way, the accident reporting station can already be provided with important detailed information from which the emergency situation can be identified. In this context, data relating to the vehicle occupants, their seating position and the incident, such as the outbreak of a fire, can also be transmitted. At the accident reporting station, the first targeted measures for rescuing injured persons can then advantageously be initiated. The vehicle occupants are advantageously determined by contacts on the seat or on the seat belt.
It is also advantageous that the emergency call is made several times in order to avoid transmission errors.
It is also advantageous that a manually operated emergency call button can also be provided, so that another road user who is watching an accident can trigger an emergency call and call for help. To avoid a false alarm, it is advantageous if the emergency button has to be pressed for a certain period. This avoids that an emergency call is triggered by inadvertently actuating the emergency call button and complex rescue measures of the accident reporting center are initiated. A further advantageous protection against a false triggering of the alarm signal is achieved by a protective flap above the emergency call button. It is also particularly advantageous that the numbers to be called in an emergency can be freely entered and are already stored before an emergency call is made. This simplifies the automatic triggering of an emergency call. The order of the people and positions to be informed is thus determined.
It is also particularly advantageous that the emergency call in the receiving station is output, for example, on a monitor in plain text. As a result, a log of the cause of the emergency call with the necessary details can be created in a simple manner, without hearing errors or communication problems occurring and leading to undesirable delays.
Da für das Mobiltelefon bereits Another advantage is that a mobile phone is used as an emergency radio. As for the cell phone already
Sending and receiving networks are available, the emergency call device is particularly economical to manufacture.
It is also advantageous if a silent alarm is triggered by an alarm system when a motor vehicle is stolen. Since the current vehicle position is also transmitted in the emergency call due to a built-in location and navigation system, the current position of the motor vehicle can be determined at the receiving station. Since a supposed thief does not notice this alarm, he feels safe. This makes it easier for him to be followed and finally taken.
An advantageous further development of the invention can also be seen through the use of an inclination sensor or the blocking of the ignition device, because an alarm is triggered or a drive away is prevented by charging the vehicle. In the event of an accident, it is particularly advantageous for the preservation of evidence if the emergency call signal contains information about the vehicle speed or the braking deceleration.
Further advantageous developments and improvements of the emergency call device according to the invention can be seen from the description.
Zeichnung drawing
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing and explained in more detail in the following description. FIG. 1 shows a block diagram of an exemplary embodiment, FIG. 2 shows the associated reporting station and FIG. 3 shows the structure of the emergency telegram.
Beschreibung des Ausführungsbeispiels Description of the embodiment
FIG. 1 shows the block diagram of the emergency call device 20 carried in the motor vehicle. A control device 3 has a microcomputer which is connected to the memory 4. Several signal transmitters are connected to the control unit 3 via a data bus 15, which are shown in the exemplary embodiment as a location and navigation system 6, passenger counter 7, airbag 8, alarm system 9, temperature / gas sensor 10 and emergency call button 11. The control device 3 has input terminals 22 to which the data bus 15 is connected. The output 21 of the control device 3 is connected to the input of a mobile telephone 1. The mobile telephone 1 corresponds to a commercially available device to which on the one hand a hearing / speaking set 2 and on the other hand a transmitting and receiving antenna 23 is connected. Furthermore, a backup battery 5 is provided, which is connected to the control device 3 and the mobile phone 1. The signal transmitters 6, 8 to 11 are known to the person skilled in the art and need not be explained in more detail. The passenger Counter 7 has a counter that can be triggered by seat contacts or belt buckles, the seat position being included in the counting result. For example, the signal "3" derived from the binary powers 2 0 + 2 1 aaib means that there is a driver and a passenger in the vehicle.
FIG. 2 shows a radio control center 40 as a block diagram, which can receive the data emitted by the mobile telephone 1 with its receiving station 30. The reception takes place via the transmitting and receiving antenna 34. The receiving station 30 also has a monitor 33 for displaying graphic or alphanumeric characters and a loudspeaker 31 as output devices.
The function of this emergency call device is described below.
The control device 3 and at least some of the signal transmitters 6 to 11 are always ready for operation. If there is a report, one of the signal generators 8 to 11 sends a signal to the control unit 3. The signals of the signal generators are coded differently, so that the control unit 3 can recognize which signal generator has triggered the signal. The signal is encoded either by labeling it with an address or by different pulse shapes. On the basis of these different reporting data, the control device 3 generates an emergency call which is coordinated with the emergency situation and which it sends via the mobile telephone 1. To form the emergency call, the control unit 3 takes prepared data records from the connected memory 4 so that the radio control center 40 can later issue the emergency call in plain text. In order to be able to optimally initiate the necessary immediate measures on the radio control center 40, the emergency call contains all important data relating to the emergency situation. These data are sent in the form of an emergency telegram and contain, according to FIG. 3, the features of the cause of the emergency call 41, vehicle registration number / holder 42, vehicle type 43, type / color 44, position of the vehicle 45, hazard class 46, number of passengers 47, seating positions 48 of the passengers, speed and deceleration measurement 49, overspeed 40, driving against a prescribed direction of travel ("ghost driver") 51 as well as other information such as manual triggering of the emergency call 52. Of course, the emergency call can also contain further information, for example whether the vehicle is still moving or whether it is stationary. This is important if a vehicle is stolen and the alarm system has triggered an emergency call.
Function control transmitters of the vehicle are also provided as signal transmitters, so that a corresponding emergency call is sent in the event of an engine breakdown or a tire breakdown. In the event of an accident, the braking deceleration and the impact speed on an obstacle are also reported, the driving speed having previously been determined and related to the braking time.
The emergency call also contains data on vehicle movement. In particular, when using a map-based location and navigation system, driving on a blocked road, driving against the prescribed direction of travel and violating speed limits are transmitted.
There is no limitation to the signal transmitters specified in the exemplary embodiment. If necessary, they will be exchanged or supplemented. In particular in the case of wireless signal transmission between the signal transmitter and the control device 3, as is given, for example, by an infrared transmitter and receiver device, the signal transmitters can be easily supplemented and adapted to the requirements. If an alarm system 9 was installed, an emergency call is triggered in the event of a break-in or theft of the motor vehicle, which is displayed on the monitor in the radio control center 40 and, if necessary, in plain text via a speech synthesizer can be spent. In this case, it is useful to transfer the current position in addition to the vehicle identification data such as the license plate, the vehicle type and the vehicle color. If the location and navigation device is equipped with an inclination sensor, then towing this vehicle or loading it onto a transport vehicle also triggers the emergency call.
An emergency call can be triggered using a manual button, regardless of the automatic signaling devices. Special measures are required to protect against a false alarm. One measure includes covering the emergency call switch. Another measure can be seen in the fact that the emergency call is only emitted from the mobile telephone 1 when the emergency call button has been pressed for at least a certain time. This ensures that no short-term and accidental touching of the emergency button leads to an alarm. The connected backup battery 5 ensures that the emergency call device remains functional even without the vehicle battery if the in an accident
Fahrzeugbatterie abgetrennt wurde oder funktionsunfähig ist. Vehicle battery has been disconnected or is inoperable.
In addition to the data records for the emergency call, the memory 4 can also contain different telephone numbers or numbers. Depending on which encoder signal has responded, a different number can be dialed.
Regardless of the emergency call device, the mobile phone 1 can be used like a conventional radio telephone.
