Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a method for influencing the immediate electrical environment of a living being and a garment, a receiving structure for the body of a living being, a textile structure, a building structure and in particular a method for applying electrodes which can be used multiple times to human or animal bodies, for the purpose of electrical diagnosis or therapy and a hygiene screen for electrodes that can be used repeatedly for electrical diagnosis or therapy.
  • the method mentioned is characterized in that a structure made of electrically conductive plastic is arranged in this environment.
  • Electrically conductive plastic for example polyurethane, polyethylene, PVC with graphite phit, and is also used, for example, as a film to protect highly sensitive electronic components in their packaging. With the aid of such material, it is now possible in a very simple manner to electrically influence the immediate surroundings of a living being, for example by switching such a structure as an aguipotential surface to a reference potential, such as ground, or by using it on the fly.
  • the electrical active connection between living being and device is created according to the invention via the flat structure, which then acts as an actively current-carrying transmitter, and it is preferably, but not necessarily, at least the contact between the living being and the fabric is optimized by means of a conductive liquid or mass.
  • the flat structure made of electrically conductive plastic is inserted on clothing items, receiving structures for a living being, such as lying surfaces, sitting area, on textiles or building structures, and if necessary is placed on a defined electrical potential, there is the possibility of electrically neutralizing, at least largely, the environment in which the living being, in particular the human being, is at least largely present, such as shielding it in a targeted manner.
  • a garment according to the invention results according to the wording of claim 5, a receiving structure for the body of a living being, such as seating or reclining furniture according to that of claim 6, a textile structure as for the manufacture of Garments, according to the wording of claim 7, and a building structure, as for room walls, according to the wording of claim 8.
  • a method according to the wording of claim 9 also forms a method of the type mentioned at the beginning.
  • this takes into account a need which exists in electro-diagnosis or therapy. As is known, this is often provided for a conductive liquid or viscous paste for cooling or better contacting or introduction of active substance, for example by iontophoresis, in AC or DC therapy, between applied electrodes and living organism. This leads to smearing that is relatively difficult to clean the electrode arrangement.
  • a medical electrode which, on the side to be applied to the body, comprises a layer of electrically conductive plastic. This position is an integral part of the electrode and can therefore not meet the need mentioned, namely to form a hygienic screen between reusable electrodes and body, which can either be thrown away as a disposable item or is easy to clean.
  • German utility model 8630690.1 it has also become known to provide an electrode or electrode arrangement in a foil bag filled with a conductive gel and body parts, such as a hand, to which the electrode arrangement is to be applied, filled in the gel Insert bag. Since in this arrangement the electrode comes into individual body contact via the conductive gel, the above-mentioned need is also not satisfied here. Here, too, the electrodes would have to be cleaned so that they can be used several times.
  • the present invention therefore continues and in particular has the task of proposing a method for the application of electrodes that can be used multiple times to human or animal bodies for the purpose of electrodiagnostics or therapy, in which the above-mentioned problems are solved.
  • Such a method is characterized by the wording of claim 9.
  • a hygiene screen for this is distinguished by the wording according to claim 11.
  • a screen according to the mentioned claim 11 it is now possible to apply a conductive liquid or mass only between the electrically conductive plastic film and the body, which eliminates the need to clean the electrode arrangement and the plastic oil can be thrown away after use, with which le ⁇ only the body is washable.
  • the greatest possible consideration is given to the requirement of medical hygiene and sterility with regard to electrodes to be used several times.
  • the sheet material can e.g. Be polyethylene with graphite.
  • FIG. 4 shows a support according to the invention for electrical diagnosis or therapy
  • various layers 3, 3a, 3b of electrically conductive plastic are provided on the jacket, pants and shoes on a suit consisting, for example, of a jacket, pants and shoes.
  • Electrical connections 5, which can be created, for example, between pants and shoes, and also between socks in between, ensure that the potential difference, for example between the shoulder and the sole of the shoe, remains minimal, so that the entire body is electrostatically at the same potential . If it is further ensured that the surface potential structure formed by the flat structures 3 and the connections 5 is connected to earth potential or is connected to earth potential with a relatively low resistance, this also prevents electrostatic charging of the body covering.
  • FIG. 2 schematically shows a piece of seating furniture 7, the seating surface 9 of which is covered with a layer 11 made of electrically conductive plastic, on the outside or concealed.
  • the layer 11 is placed at a reference potential, for example electrically connected to the ground or, as by connecting to a water pipe 13, to earth potential.
  • the layer 11 in isolation forms an equipotential surface, with the result that a body resting thereon is at the same potential everywhere. If the layer 11 is placed at reference potential, such as on earth, the potential value of the surface is recorded in accordance with the layer 11.
  • FIG. 3 again schematically, shows a building structure according to the invention, such as a plate 15, which has a layer made of electrically conductive plastic 17 on the outside or, as drawn, on the inside. If a room is made of such plates 15, a Faraday cage is practically obtained, which in turn can be placed at reference potential, for example on earth or can be operated on the fly, but nevertheless, as is also the case with the suit according to FIG. 1, electromagnetic fields are shielded. As shown, all the plastic layers in FIGS. 1 to 3 can be flat, but can also comprise threads made of electrically conductive plastic or lattice structures made of them, such as fabric.
  • FIG. 4 schematically shows a support for electrical diagnosis or therapy according to the invention.
  • Electrodes 25 are a significant labor saving in the therapy mentioned, optimal hygiene and sterility also being ensured by the disposable pad.
