Definitions

  • the invention relates to a model carrier for articulators for emulating the position and the movement sequence of the rows of teeth of the upper and lower jaw for the manufacture of dental prostheses
  • the plate-shaped model carrier having a recess, preferably in the central region has a fastening screw for receiving the base plate or the counter plate of the articulator and screwing it from below or from above through the base plate or the counter plate, and positioning means are arranged on the top and / or bottom of the model carrier which clearly reproducible Ensure the position of the model carrier on the one hand with respect to the base plate or the counter plate of the articulator and on the other hand of the model with respect to the model carrier.
  • articulators A wide variety of articulators are known. For example, such are described in AT-PS 371 333, in CH-PS 249 969 and in DE-OS 30 05 524. Common to these articulators is that they are used in conjunction with model plates and so-called Spli cast metal supports be used.
  • the model plates have a threaded hole in the middle, are usually designed as circular disks and have several continuous recesses which expand towards the bottom.
  • Another embodiment of these model plates instead of the continuous recesses widening downwards carries upwardly projecting threaded pins.
  • Both the mentioned recesses and the multiply arranged threaded pins on the top serve to firmly and securely anchor the connection aces with which the tooth replacement part is attached to the model plate, because this connection must be made during the entire machining ⁇ the time of the dental prosthesis must be maintained Once the dental prosthetic item has been completed, the binding compound separated and this is usually thrown away together with the model plate anchored to it.
  • Splitcast metal carriers are those model carriers on which the tooth replacement part is repeatedly detachably fastened. This releasable fastening has the advantage that it can be solved by the model carrier in the case of complex and complex work on the tooth replacement part.

  • This splitcast metal carrier can be used repeatedly and repeatedly because the separation between the dental prosthetic item and the spli cast metal carrier is simple, as already explained above. Abstract
