本発明は電気抵抗発熱体に関する ものであり、 低コス トかつ高 品質の電気抵抗発熱体を提供することを目的とする。
〔背景技術〕
電気抵抗発熱体は、 従来から家庭用 · 工業用の熱源として広 く 使用されており、 その材質と しては金属系および非金属系のもの が用いられている。 ニク ロム線等の金属系抵抗体はすぐれた発熱 体ではあるが、 酸化し易 く 、 一端酸化する と脆く なり切れ易い α また局部的な加熱が生じる とその部分の抵抗が増大するから、 さ らに発熱が局部化して断線する。 これに対して、 炭素、 黒鉛等の 非金属系発熱体は分解温度が高く化学的に安定であり 、 抵抗値が 金属系抵抗体より も大き く 、 温度係数が小さいなどの利点を有す る。 しかしながら他面脆く 、 また高温 ( 1 0 0 0 て以上) にする と変質してり変形したり してしま う こ とがあった。 従って、 高温 で使用に耐える発熱体としては、 ケィ化モ リ ブデ ン、 炭化ケィ素 など高温で焼結した型のものなどが用いられている。 しかし、 か かる焼結型の発熱体の製造はコ ス ト が高く なる。
〔発明の開示〕
本発明の電気抵抗発熱体は、 窒化ケィ 素、 炭化ゲイ素、 ケィ化 モ リ ブデン、 ジルコ ニウ ム、 シ リ コ ン、 F e O . F e 30 * 、 ニ ッ ケル コ ノ ノレ ト、 ゲノレマニウム、 ク ロム、 ニ ッケノレ - ク ロ ム、 素、 里
鉛等の導電性粉末の少く とも 1 種と、 ポル ト ラ ン ドセメ ン ト と、 塩化ナ ト リ ウム、 塩化カ リ ウム、 塩化ルビジウム、 塩化べリ ウム 塩化マグネシゥ ム、 塩化カルシゥ ム、 塩化ス ト ロ ンチウム、 塩化 バリ ウ ム、 および塩化コ バル ト等の塩素系硬化剤より成る群より 選んだ少く とも一種とを主成分とした均一混合体より成る、 非焼 結型電気抵抗発熱体である。 こ ゝ に非焼結型とは、 焼結を要しな いという意味である。
上記の導電性粉末ば、 常温でば必ずしも導体でないものもある が、 この場合においても目的使用温度において導体となる。 この 種の材質を用いる場合は.、 常温でも導体である材質と併用するの が便利である。
また必要に応じて耐熱性の粉末、 例えばシ リ カ、 アルミ ナ、 チ タ ニア、 ジルコニァ、 チタ ン酸カ リ ウム、 石灰、 各種リ ン酸カル シゥ ム、 ケ ィ 酸アル ミ ナ、 等々 のセ ラ ミ ッ ク粒子を添加する こと によ り耐熱性を增すこ とができ、 これらの耐熱性物質を添加した ものも、 本件発明の発熱体に含まれる。
本発熱体は、 上記の成分を均一混合し、 - 圧縮または注型成型す る こ とによ り 、 所定の形状で固形化したこ とを特徴とする。
本発明における炭素酸化鉄等の第 1成分は、 従来周知の発熱体 材料で良く 、 使用目的が高温用であるか、 低温用であるか、 中間 温度用であるかに従って適宜に選択され、 或いは高温、 低温型両 者が混合して用いられる。
本発明の構成に重要なのは、 塩素系硬化剤を用いる点にある。 かかる硬化剤は、 低温において無機質耐熱性導体および半導体の 粒子を桔合させ、 やや高 ¾度では溶融化により これらの粒子をき
らに結合する。 のみならず、 この硬化剤は電気抵抗材としても作 用して固体導体粒子と共に一体化して均質な抵抗体を与えるので ある。 また、 上述のセラ ミ ッ ク粒子を用いる こ とにより、 例えば 2 0 0 0 でに加熱し水冷してすら、 さ らに使用することができる よう に機械特性を高める こ とができる。 塩素系硬化剤は、 発熱体 の素材の全量に対して 3 w t %程度用いれば十分に効果を発揮しう るこ と:^分った。
好ま しい塩素系硬化剤は塩化コバル ト、 塩化力 リ ゥム及び塩化 カルシウ ムの混合物を水に溶解させ液状にしたものである。 この ものは原料面から塩化ナ ト リ ゥ ム、 塩化マグネ シウム等の成分を 少量含むことがある。 ·
本発明の他の重要な構成要素はポル ト ラ ン ドセメ ン トである。 ポル ト ラ ン ドセメ ン ト は低コ ス ト のバイ ンダ一 と して作用する。 本発熱体の電源と しては、 一般に交流が用いられるが、 直流を 用いる こ とも可能である。
〔図面の簡単な説明〕
添付図面は、 本発明の発熱体の う ち、 単 ¾な構造をもつものの 説明斜視図である。 この図面において、 1 は発熱体本体を示し、 2 は電源コ ー ドを示し、 3 は端子保護部材を示し、 4 は電極を示 す。
〔発明を実施するための最良の方法〕
以下実施例を述べる。
実施例 1
いずれも約 5 0 0 メ ッ シュの炭素 4重量部、 第一酸化鉄 (F eo ) 3重量部およびシリ コ ン 1 重量部より成る混^物に、 上記の物質

5 一 4 全量を基準にして CaC« 2 (硬化剤中の混合比 1 3 wt%) 、 K a
( 5 0 wt%) 及び塩化コバル ト ( 3 7 »t%) の混合物より成る塩 素系硬化剤 3 wt%、 ポル ト ラ ン ドセメ ン ト 1 5 wt%及び水約 3 0 wt%を加えて充分混練し、 型枠中に入れる。 添付図面に示すよう に、 ステ ン レス棒を挿入し、 これを電極とする。 かく して 2 0 0 X 1 5 0 X 5 0 «のブロ ックに成形し、 充分に硬化させた。 出来上った発熱体の構造は、 添付図面に示すとおりのものである , 電源コー ドとしては耐熱性のものが使用された。 端子保護部材は. 電極 4 とコー ド 1 とを接繞する端子を熟から保護するために設け
10 られている。 材質としては、 石綿とセメ ン トを耐熱硬化剤で練り 固めたものである。 電極 4 は、 ステンレス棒を用いたが、 チタン 合金棒でもよい。 電極の形状は問わない。 これを以下示す寸法の 耐熱性の炉内に格納し、 密閉したうえで交流電源により通電した 結果を表 1 に示す。

実施例 2
実施例 1 の配合物の代りに、 次のものを用いて同様な実験を行 25 つた。 れに通電した結果を表 (2)に示す。

水 3 0 〃 表 _(2) 通電 3分後 5分後 10分後 電 圧 値(V) 100 100 100 電 流 値(A) 6 9 15 炉内の温度(C) 850 1300 1800 上記の表 1 、 2 から明らかなよ う に、 比較的短時間 O ·〕 ちに炉 内温度を高めるこ とができ る こ とが分る。 しかも、 d ½果は、 単に成形のみで得られたものであり 、 一体性の高い焼結型のもの と同様に使用できたこ とは本発明の発熟体が秀れている こ とを示 している。 また、 上記実施例 1 、 2 の発熱体に低電流を流してそ の表面.温度分布を測定したところ、 局部的な発熱は見られず、 均 一な温度を示すこ とが分った。
以上のよう に、 本発明は非焼結型のす ぐれた電気抵抗発熱体を 提供し得たものである。
実施例 3
実施例 1 において、 配合物と して次のものを用いた。 ,

塩素系硬化剤 (実施例 1 のもの) 3
水 2 7 上記のものは交流 1 0 0 V、 0. 7 5 m Aで温度 7 0 でを最高温度 とする床暖房用に適するものであった。
〔産業上の利用可能性〕
本発明による発熱体は、 高温焼成の必要がな く 、 そのままで発 熱体として使用できる。 本発明の発熱体は低コ ス ト であり 、 板状 棒状、 異形等自由な形に賦型でき、 操返し使用できる。 従って例 えば床暖房、 厨房器、 湯沸器、 焼却器等の家庭用から工業用まで 広 く 用いる こ とができる。

1. 窒化ケィ素、 炭化ゲイ 素、 ゲイ化モリ ブデン、 ジルコ ニウ ム シ リ コ ン、 F e O 、 F e 3 0 4 、 ニ ッケノレ、 コ ノヾノレ ト、 ゲルマニウ ム ク ロム、 ニ ッケル - ク ロ ム、 炭素、 黒鉛等の導電性粉末の少く と も 1 種と、 ポル ト ラ ン ドセメ ン ト と、 塩化ナ ト リ ウム、 塩化 カ リ ウ ム、 塩化ルビジウ ム、 塩化ベ リ リ ウ ム、 塩化マグネ シゥ ム、 塩化力ルシゥ ム、 塩化ス ト ロ ンチウ ム、 塩化バリ ウ ム、 塩 化コバル ト等の塩素系硬化剤より成る群より選んだ少く とも一 種より成る ものを主成分とする均一混合体を硬化させて得た非 焼結型電気抵抗発熱体。
