Abstract
A method of torch gunite application of linings of metallurgical installations consists in supplying a refractory material, a fuel and oxygen to a metallurgical installation in the form of separate jets, the refractory material being supplied in the form of a central axially symmetrical jet at a speed of 10 to 70 m/sec., the oxygen is supplied in the form of an annular jet, surrounding the jet of the refractory material, at a speed of 50 to 300 m/sec., and the fuel being supplied in the form of an annular jet surrounding the oxygen jet, at a speed of 5 to 30 m/sec.; in subsequently heating and partially melting the refractory material inside the high-temperature torch and applying the particles of the refractory material to the lining surface.
