Abstract

Casing for electric jack presenting a maximum tightness, more particularly intended for automatic steering in boats. This casing (1), formed by a hollow metal section extending longitudinally, incorporates a means (2) deformable under the action of pressure variation inside the housing in which the jack rod (4) moves so as to balance the pressure inside said housing with that of the environment air in order to prevent water from coming inside by a pumping effect. The electrical switchings are provided by means of flexible strip switches controlled by magnet through a non-magnetic wall of the casing. There are also provided original means for fixing and guiding elements effecting relative motions.
