Abstract
Se describen composiciones y métodos que se refieren a una levadura modificada que sobreexpresa proteína fosfatasas asociadas con la vía HOG. La levadura modificada produce una cantidad mayor de etanol y una cantidad menor de glicerol en comparación con células precursoras. Dicha levadura es particularmente útil para la producción de etanol a gran escala a partir de sustratos de almidón.
