The object of my design is to produce an object of art commemorative of the National Uentennial; and its nature is fully represented in the accompanying drawings, making a part otthis specification, to which reference is made. This bell is provided with a tongue, an operating-cord, and an upright supporting the said cord.
The base or platform of the belfry is provided with a number of radiating staii's hearing American flags, as is also its roof, and the latter is surmounted by a calyx-shaped addition, bearing upon its faces representations of the well'known American shield. This surinounting addition is provided with a domelike top, from which radiates a number of staffs bearing the American flag, and supporting the representation of the well-known liberty-cap upon a projecting stafi inserted therein.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
