DESIGN FOR AN EMBROlDERY-PATTERN.
Specification tormirg part of Design No. 9,0l4, dated February 22, 1876; application filed February ll, 1876. [Term of Patent 31} years] To all'whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, EMIL Cmsann, or New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for EmbroideryPattern; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent a face view.
This invention relates to a design for an embroidery 'iattern, especially adapted to perforated board, the object being to represent the pattern on the surface of the board to enable a person to follow the design; and it consists, first, in an emblem composed of a representation of the Liberty Bell, American Eagle, and flags, also, in the motto Hail Columbia, the principal features of the design, and which may be used independent without the motto, represent the Liberty Bell with an eagle hovering over it, with an American flag drooping at each side. In the motto Hail Columbia the peculiar features are the capitals of the form shown, with a t'oliated tracery, as shown and described 1 claim- 1. The design for an embroidery-pattern, consisting of a. representation of the Liberty Bell, eagle, and flags, as described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
2. The design for an embroidery-pattern, consisting of the motto Hail Columbia, formed as described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
