SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 374,823, dated December 13, 1887.

' To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, EDWARD S. BURBANK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Omaha, in the county of Douglas and State of Nebraska, have invented new and useful Improvements in Watch-Repair Tags, of which the following isa specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings.
My invention relates to an improvement in watch-repair tags; and it consistsin the peculiar shape and other details, which will be more fully set forth hereinafter, and particularly pointed out in the claim.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a side view of the tag embodying my improvements. Fig. 2 is a side view of the tag attached to the watch. Fig. 3 is a vertical view of the same. Fig. 4. is a detail view of attaching device. Fig. 5 is a View showing that both edges of the tags conform with each other.
A curved tag is represented in Fig. 1 provided with the attaching-band A, extending The object and novelty of my invention will be more fully understood from the foregoing description and accompanying drawings.
First. By providing the bag with an attaching-band extending to one side and curved at an angle corresponding with the curve of the watch'case and bow the tag hangs normally and diagonally across the watch, which serves to some extent as a protection, preventing the watches from scratching each other when placed side by side in the drawers of the safe. Second. These tags never tangle together nor catch to rack-hooks and watch-chains, and can be temporarily attached as well as more securely attached, and are readily detached by drawing out the'loop-band or breaking off the tag when wanted no longer. They are made of tough check and Manila board, and are a most convenient and serviceable watch-repair tag.
