DESIGN FOR CARPET.

Specification forming part of Design No. 6,612, dated April 22, 1873; arplication filed April 11, 1873.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOHN E. SMITH, of Enfield, county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented or produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be Inwronght into Ingrain and other Carpeting in colors similar to those painted on the drawin g or photograph accompanying this specification, or in other colors substituted in the place of those painted on the drawing or photograph herewith; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification does give and convey to any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving a defined and thorough description of the nature of my invention, and it is sufficient to enable any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving to use my invention.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The configuration of the design hereunto annexed, when applied to carpeting in the form similar to the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification.
