SMITH, of Enfield, Hertford county, Connecticut, have invented or produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be Inwronght into Ingrain and other Carpeting,in colors similar to those painted on the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification, or in other colors substituted in the place of those painted on the drawing or photograph herewith; and I do hereby declare that thedrawing accompanying this specification does give and convey to any one skilled in the art of carpet-Weaving adelined alnd thorough description of the nature of my invention, and is sncient to enable any one skilled in the art of curpetwcnvng to use my invention.

The coniiguration of the design hereunto annexed, when applied to carpeting in the form similar to the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification.
