DESiGN FOR CARPETS.

Specification forming part of Design No. 6,438, dated February 18, 1873.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ELEMIR J. NEY, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented or produced a new and original Design fora Pat-tern to be Inwronght into Ingrain and other Carpeting, in colors similar to those painted on the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification, or in other colors substituted in the place of those painted on the drawing or photograph herewith; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification does give and convey to any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving a defined and thorough description of the nature of my invention, and is sufficient to en able any one skilled in the art of carpet-weav ingto use my invention.

What I claim as my invention, and desirr to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The configuration of the design hereuntr annexed, when applied to carpeting in the form similar to the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification.
