DESIGN FOR THlLL-COUPLING.

Specification forming part of Design No. 5,302, dated October 3, 1871.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HENRY N EVVBY, of Avondale, Hamilton county, ()hio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a TM- Coupling, of which the following is a specificaltion:

The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying illustration, to which rei erenee is made.

The oblique arm A, at that part to which the shaft is to be attached, and at its lower end, has a reverscly-curved and horizontal neck, a, by which it is connected to the cylindrical] strap or clamp B B, the two parts of which are hinged together at b and are secured together by a bolt, 0, passing through lugs b. The clamp B surrounds the clip I) D, which is made in two parts, adapted to fit over the axle, and formed at each end with lugs (Z d to receive bolts E E, by which the two parts I) D are secured together. The lugs 11 and d are beveled and rounded at their ends. The projecting ends of the clip D l) are also formed with beveled margins and with projecting flanges or rinisf surrounding the opening which receives the axle.

The entire structure is so made as to give it a neat and ornamental appearance, as well as to render it very eflicient in use.

I claim as my invention The design for a chill-coupling, as shown and set forth.
