DESIGN FOR A SASH-HOLDER.

The Schedule referred to in these Lettera Patent and making part ol the same.

To all whom it mayA concern r Be it known that we, EDWIN O. Hms'rnn and GA- Bnln O. HIEsTnn, of the cit-y of Reading, county of Berks and State oi'Pennsylvania, have invented a new and original Design for a Metallic Sash-Fastener; and we do hereby declare the following to be un exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon making a part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 represents a. perspective view of the design of instener.

Figure 2 shows a side view of the same.

The natuxe of our invention consists in an oval casting of any kind of metal, having a. semieircular slot at one end, with circular apertures, from which apertures the slot is continued to the other end of the plate, with a flange surrounding the plate.

A represents the metallic plate, with its flange B surrounding it;

C is the semicircular slot;

D D, the round apertures;

E E, the extension ends ofthe slot; and

B, the flange surrounding the plate.

The fastener is fastened by a screw, G, to the window-sash, the screw passing through the slot E, and the side or auge B ofthe fastener resting against the frame of the window, thus fastening or holding the sash to the frame.
