DESIGN FOR THE BOXES FOR THE TOPS OF BUREAUS.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the sama I, CHENEY KILBURN, of Philadelphia, county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented or produced a Design for Boxes for the Tops of Bureaus, of which the following is a specification.
rPhis design, which is for the shape of a box of the kind usually secured to the tops of bureaus, consists, mainly, 0f a rectangular box with a projecting front, having prominent corner pieces, the whole, when finished with appropriate moldings, forming a box of ornamental appearance.
(ln reference to the drawing- Figure 1 represents a perspective View of a box made in accordance with my design, and
Figure 2, a plan view of the box in outline.
rIhe body A of the box is rectangular, or oblong; and at the front of the same there is a projecting portion, B, the latter being perfectly plain, or having prominent corners, c c, as represented in the drawing, or being otherwise ornamented.
The molding or finish for the edge of the box, of whatever character employed, is carried entirely around the projection B, as shown in g. 1.
I claim- "he design for boxes for the tops of bureaus, substantially as described and as represented in and by the accompanying drawing.
