DESIGN FOR AN AUTOMOBILE-BODY.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 36,040, dated September 2, 1902.
Application filed July 8. 1902. Serial No. 114,322. Term of patent 3 years- To ctZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN C. REUTER, a citizen of the United States, residing at St. Louis, in the State of Missouri, have invented and produced a new, original, and ornamental Design for an Automobile-Body, of which the following is a specification.
The invention relates to a new, original, and ornamental design for an automobilebody, and it has for its object to provide an ornamental design of that character.
The leading feature of the design resides in the design forming the subject-matter of the accompanying illustration.
The figure of the drawing is a perspective View of an automobile-body, showing my new and original design.
Referring to the drawing, 1 designates the body of an automobile, having a tapering projecting front portion and presenting the appearance of the prow or bow of an ironclad vessel. The body is also provided above the tapering projecting portion 2 with an ea les head 3, having an open beak containing the headlight L. The rear portion of the body is rounded at the base and is provided with a projecting upper portion 5, approximately oblong in plan view and having a rounded front end 6, and the rear face 7 is provided with a curved lower portion located above the rounded rear end portion 8. The body is also provided at the front portion with approximately semicircular recesses 9, having angularly-disposed faces 10 at the back.
What I claim is- The ornamental design for an automobilebody, as herein shown and described.
