UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
WILLIAM S. CLARK, OF ST, LOUIS, MISSOURI, ASSIGNOR TO MISSOURI GLASS COMPANY, OF ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, A CORPORATION OF MISSOURI.
DESIGN FOR A GLASS DISH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,893, dated May 6, 1902.
Application filed April 14, 1902. Serial No. 102,942. Term of patent '7 years.
To all, w7t0m, it may concern:
Be it known that 1, WILLIAM S. CLARK, a citizen of the United States, residing at St. Louis, Missouri, have invented a certain new and original Design for a Glass Dish, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the acro companying drawings, forming part of this specification, in whioh= Figure l is a bottom plan view of my new design applied to a glass dish, and Fig. 2 is a sectional View.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a glass dish, the leading or material features of which consist of a series of panels divided by grooves starting from the apices of a six-pointed star arranged in the :0 center of the dish, said star being formed by a continuation of said grooves. Each groove intersects the other, so as to form an ellipticshaped panel ornamented by checkered work,
as shown. In the wider spaces of the panels comprehended within the sweeping curve which connects the grooves are arranged rosettes, said rosettes differing in size in alternate panels. These rosettes have a central panel circular in shape, which is ornamented by a pyramidal projection, the rosettes the1nsolves being formed of a series of regularlyarranged pyramids.
In alternate panels curved grooves extend outwardly from points adjacent the apices of the star, these grooves forming narrow panels whose faces are orna- 3 5 mented by circular depressions disposed transversely, the ends of such panels having palamated figures. In the narrow panel thus provided by these grooves are triangular raised portions, which are checkered, they being divided by crossing grooves. A small hexagonal figure is formed in this narrow central panel, in theocenter of which is a small rosette, the marginal face around the rosette being ornamented by pyramidal projections. In the larger panels, which alternate with those just described, there is a cross-groove forming a panel adjacent and between the points of the central star, which panel is ornamented by pyramidal projections. In the go hexagonal panel in the center of the dish is a small rosette, around which are arranged pyramidal projections.
What I claim is The design for a glass dish as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I hereunto affix my signature, in the presence of two witnesses,- this 10th day of April, 1902.
WILLIAM S. CLARK.
