Description

DPS-106 EX D9075 0R D 279995 DESIGN.
P. L. WRIGHT.
PRISM PLATE.
No. 27,995. Patented Dec. 7, 1897.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
FRANK L. WRIGHT, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, ASSIGNOR TO THE LUXFER PRISM PATENTS COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A PRISM-PLATE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,995, dated December 7, 1897.
Application filed October 21, 1897. Serial No. 655,972- Term of patent 14 years.
To aZl whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FRANK L. \VRIGHT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented a certain new and original Design for Prism-Plates, of which the following is a description.
My invention relates to designs for prismplates.
Figure l is a plan view of a prism-plate embodying my design. Fig. 2 is a cross-section therethrough on line 2 2.
A A is the body of the plate; B B, a series of surface areas thereon formed by the lines of separation C C. The surface areas are substantially uniform. D D are lines produced upon such surface areas, so as to form upon each area a separate independent complete pattern, and thus produce a sort of mosaic field, so to speak. In the middle of this field, on a considerable number of these surface areas, a separate and distinct pattern is developed by the lines E E.
The essential features of my design are found in a prism-plate comprising a substantially flat and extended body with a series of prisms on one side and on the other a series of lines of separation which divide such surface into a series of substantially uniform surface areas, the field heing formed by substantially uniform designs on each field-surface area and the center surface areas having formed upon them a distinct and separate pattern.
I claim- A design fora prisn1-plate, substantially as shown and described.
FRANK L. WRIGHT.
